Haggai Chapter Two

 (Now) Weekly From the Prophets

1 - In the seventh month, on the twenty-first day of the month (2nd quarter moon, seventh and last day of the Feast of Tabernacles) the word of the Lord came to Haggai the prophet: 2 “Speak now to Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and to Joshua the son of Jehozadak, the high priest, and to all the remnant of the people, and say, 3 ‘Who is left among you who saw this house as it was in its former glory? How do you see it now? 4 Yet now be strong, O Zerubbabel, declares the Lord. Be strong, O Joshua, son of Jehozadak, the high priest. And be strong, all you people of the land, declares the Lord. Build, for I am with you, declares the Lord of hosts, 5 according to the covenant I made with you when I led you out of Egypt. My Spirit remains in your midst. Fear not.

6 For thus says the Lord of hosts: Yet once more, in a little while, I will shake the heavens and the earth and the sea and the dry land. (A little while to Him?) 7 And I will shake all nations, so that the treasures of all nations shall come in, and I will fill this house with glory, says the Lord of hosts. 8 The silver is mine, and the gold is mine, declares the Lord of hosts. 9 The latter glory of this house shall be greater than the former, says the Lord of hosts. And in this place I will give peace, declares the Lord of hosts.’” (They were discouraged this new temple would be less magnificent than the first? But God is showing them a glimmer of the final temple.. the full destiny of a temple in Jerusalem?)

10 On the twenty-fourth day of the ninth month, in the second year of Darius, the word of the Lord came by Haggai the prophet, 11 “Thus says the Lord of hosts: Ask the priests about the law: 12 ‘If someone carries holy meat in the fold of his garment and touches with his fold bread or stew or wine or oil or any kind of food, does it become holy?’” The priests answered and said, “No.” 13 Then Haggai said, “If someone who is unclean by contact with a dead body touches any of these, does it become unclean?” The priests answered and said, “It does become unclean.” 14 Then Haggai answered and said, “So is it with this people, and with this nation before me, declares the Lord, and so with every work of their hands. And what they offer there is unclean. 15 Now then, consider from this day onward. Before stone was placed upon stone in the temple of the Lord, 16 how did you fare? When one came to a heap of twenty measures, there were but ten. When one came to the wine vat to draw fifty measures, there were but twenty. 17 Struck were all the products of your toil with blight and mildew and hail, yet you did not turn to me, declares the Lord.18 Consider from this day onward, from this twenty-fourth day of this ninth month. Since the day the foundation of the Lord's temple was laid, consider: 19 Is the seed yet in the barn? Indeed, the vine, the fig tree, the pomegranate, and the olive tree have yielded nothing. But from this day on I will bless you.”

20 The word of the Lord came a second time to Haggai on the twenty-fourth day of the month, 21 “Speak to Zerubbabel, governor of Judah, saying, I will shake the heavens and the earth, 22 and overthrow the throne of kingdoms. I will destroy the strength of the kingdoms of the nations, and overthrow the chariots and their riders. And the horses and their riders shall go down, every one by the sword of his brother. 23 On that day, declares the Lord of hosts, I will take you, O Zerubbabel [his name means “begotten in Babylon” he led the people home, so used as a type of Christ, like some kings are used as types of the adversary called Satan, and like David of Christ] my servant, the son of Shealtiel [this name means “I have asked of God” - ask, seek, knock] declares the Lord, and make you like a signet ring [chotham - a seal] for I have chosen you, declares the LORD of hosts.” (Jesus, our seal?)

15 I know your works:, you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were either cold or hot! 16 So, because you are lukewarm, and are

neither hot nor cold, I will spew you out of my mouth.17 For you say, I am rich, and prosperous. And I need nothing. Not realizing that you are wretched, pitiable, poor, blind, and naked. 18 I counsel you to buy from me gold refined by fire, so you may be rich. And white garments so that you may clothe yourself and the shame of nakedness may not be seen, and eye salve to anoint your eyes, so that you may see. 19 Those whom I love, I reprove and discipline. So be zealous (find your enthusiasm) and repent. 20 Behold, I stand at the door and knock. Whoever hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in to them and commune with them, and they with me. 21 The one who overcomes/is victorious, I will grant to sit with me on my throne, as I also conquered and sat down with my Father on his throne. 22 Whoever who has an ear, let them hear what the Spirit says to the churches.”

Haggai Chapter One

 (Now) Weekly From the Prophets

      馃崈馃摐馃崈馃彆️ 馃崈馃摐馃崈

The Book of the Prophet Haggai - is two chapters, and is third from the last book of the Old/Ancient Testament.

Background (we last studied Daniel) — 586bc Nebuchadnezzar sacked Jerusalem, carried many off to Babylon.. Babylon later falls to Persia.

Belshazzar, Nebuchadnezzar’s son succeeded him. He was the last Babylonian king, and was the “writing on the wall” king. He was followed by Darius the Mede (of Media-Persia) ..He was otherwise known as Nabonidus? He “received the kingdom” (under?) Cyrus the Great of Persia (remember how Persia “rose higher”?) Darius the Mede ruled only two years - Darius and Cyrus ruled concurrently, and Darius was likely appointed viceroy over Babylon by his nephew, King Cyrus who ruled from 550bc to 538bc. Darius (the Mede) promoted Daniel (the prophet) to a high position and then was tricked into casting him into the lions’ den. When he saw Daniel was unhurt, Darius decreed “people must fear and reverence the God of Daniel. For he is the living God who endures forever. His kingdom will not be destroyed, his dominion will never end!” And as viceroy he was, and had been, favorable to Israel.

Cyrus had decreed all Israel in all his kingdom could, and should go home, and some/many did, led by Zerubbabel (who was a descendent of King David) and they began to “rebuild the TEMPLE” (and, side note: at the time of Cyrus’ proclamation, the massive empire included once again Assyria where the northern tribes had been carried off into captivity). [This proclamation is not the one that began the countdown prophesied by Daniel called “70 weeks”.]

     Adapted from commentary:

The name Haggai means "my feast" perhaps meaning in anticipation of the joyous return from exile. He was likely one of the Jewish exiles (of Judah, Benjamin, and Levi) who returned to the land of Israel under Zerubbabel, civil head of Isreal during the return, with Joshua the high priest. It was 536 BCE, when Cyrus (as prophecied in Isa 44:28 and 45:1) granted Israel their freedom, and supplied them with what they needed for restoring the temple (2Ch 36:23; Ezr 1:1; 2:2). The work of rebuilding went on under Cyrus and his successor Cambyses (called Ahasuerus in Ezr 4:6).

     Haggai Chapter One

1:1 - In the second year of King Darius — this is Darius the Great, not Darius the Mede who co-ruled for two years. Some time has passed, this Darius (of Persia) is listed as third after Cyrus. — In the second year of Darius, in the sixth month, on the first day of the month [on the new moon, always a festival with a community “with God” meal] the word (message) of the Lord/Yhvh came to Haggai the prophet, to Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and to Joshua, the high priest, son of Jehozadak: 2 “Thus says Yhvh of hosts: It’s said by the people, the time has not yet come to rebuild the house of the Lord.” 3 And continued the word to Haggai, 4 “Is it a time for you to dwell in your nicely built houses, while mine lies in ruins? 5 Now, therefore, says Yhvh of hosts - Consider your ways. 6 You have sown much, but harvested little. You eat, but never have enough. You drink, but never have your fill. You clothe yourselves, but you are not warm, and the workers wages go as into a bag with holes.”

(In other words, oh nation, where are you going wrong?)

7 “Thus says the LORD of hosts: Consider your ways. 8 Go up to the hills and bring wood and build the house, that I may take pleasure in it and that I may be remembered, says the Lord. 9 You looked for much, but behold, it came to little. And when you brought it home, it blew away. Why? It is because of my house. It lies in ruins, and all are busy with only their own house. 10 Therefore the heavens above you have withheld the dew, and the earth has withheld its produce. 11 Summoned is a drought on the land and hills, and on the grain, the new wine, upon the oil, and what the earth brings forth, upon man and upon beast, and upon all your labors.” (God iS life, and every blessing.)

12 Then Zerubbabel and Joshua the high priest, with all the remnant of the people, obeyed the voice of Yhvh their God, and the words of Haggai the prophet, as the Lord their God had sent. And the people remembered and revered Yhvh. 13 Then Haggai, messenger of the Lord, spoke to the people with the Lord's message, “I am with you, says Yhvh.” 14 And he stirred up the spirit of Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and the spirit of Joshua the high priest, son of Jehozadak, and the spirit of all the remnant of the people. And they came and began work on the house of Yhvh, their God, 15 on the twenty-fourth day of the month, of the sixth month, in the second year of King Darius called the Great.

Fat Man and Little Boy

Were dancing in the sky

Which rolled up like a scroll

With lightning on the fly.

But “the seals” are veiled

By their fullness of detail.

Seal Six was dancing in the sky

Beginning in days gone by,

Then held in check!

Where we still seem to be,

At Revelation seven, verse 1 and 3.

1 - And to the angel of the church in Sardis write - These things says the one who has the seven spirits of God and the seven stars - “I know your works. You are known for being alive, but you’re dead.” (Outwardly look okay, but..) 2 Wake up! Strengthen what remains and is about to fall off, for I have not found your works to be complete in the sight of my God.” (You are missing the target! Wake up!) 3 “Remember, then, what you received and heard. Keep it, and repent [metanoe贸 - turn, change after (being with)]. If you don’t wake up, I’ll come like a thief, and, you won’t know at what hour. 4 Yet you have still a few among you, who have not soiled their garments.” (No radiance if not following the way of it!) “And they will walk with me in white, for they are worthy.” (The way is the way of grace, God’s energizing and peaceful POWER. Our part is threefold: to believe, present our self to him “as a living sacrifice” and “rest in him”. And this is summed up as “love God”. Genuinely and heartfelt.) 5 “The one who conquers [nik谩艒 - from n铆k膿 - victory, properly, conquer, overcome, to carry off the victory, come off victorious, the verb implies a battle] will be clothed [periball贸 - to throw around, put on, from peri - around, and ballo - to throw, cast, toss, pour, be cloaked] in white [leukos - light, bright, radiant] and I will not erase their name out of the book of life. I will confess their name before my Father and before his angels. [Homologe贸 - confess, speak the same, agree, publicly declare, a Hebraism, I praise, celebrate, from homou - together, and lego - to voice the same conclusion, speak the same thing, be in full agreement, align with, endorse] [their name - onoma -  a name, authority, cause, character, fame, reputation — “According to Hebrew notions, a name is inseparable from the person to whom it belongs, i.e. it is something of his essence. Daniel 12 Study

Paraphrased And Condensed With

    Suggested Interpretation

(Summation of the Matter) 1 “At that time” the angel [like a man in linen] continued, “the great prince Michael, who has the watch over your people, will stand up. And there will be a time of trouble (began with a pale horse ride?) such as there hasn’t been since there was a nation. Even to the time when your people shall be delivered, everyone whose name can be found written in the book. 2 (When?) Many of those who sleep in the dust of earth shall awaken, some to enduring life, and some to shame and of long duration contempt [deraon - aversion, abhorrence]. (Jn.5:28,29) 3 And those who are wise will shine like the radiance of the sky above, and those who turn many to righteousness [tsadeq or tsadoq - just or righteous, from tsedeq - rightness, righteousness, what is right], like the stars forever [olam - long duration, antiquity, futurity] and ever [ad - perpetuity, from adah - adorn, pass on, advance].

4 But you, Daniel, close the book and seal it, until the time of the end [qets, pronounced kates - end, course, farthest border, highest peak, limit]. Many shall run-to-and-fro [shuwt - about, go quickly] and knowledge shall increase [rabah - multiply].”

5 Then I, Daniel, looked, and behold, two others stood, one on one side of the stream and one on the other side of the stream. 6 And one of them said to the man clothed in linen, who was above the waters of the stream, “Until when (for how long?) shall be the end [limit, fulfillment] of these wonders [pele - wonders, extraordinary, hard to be understood]?” 7 And I heard the man clothed in linen, who was above the waters of the stream. He raised his right hand and his left hand toward heaven. And he swore by he who lives forever that it would be for a time [moed - appointed time] times, and half a time. When the power [yad - hand, reach (influence?)] of the holy [qodesh - apartness, sacred] people is spent/finished and sundered, coming to an end, then all these things will be completed. (Rev.13:5-7!)

8 I heard, but I did not understand. Then I said, “O my lord, what will be the outcome of all this?” 9 He said, “Go your way, Daniel, the words are shut up and sealed until the time of the end. 10 Many shall be purified [barar - purified, selected, purged, polished] and made white [laban - brick, white] and be refined [tsaraph - smelted, refined, tested]. But the wicked shall act wickedly. None of the wicked shall understand [bin - discern] but those who are wise shall understand [bin - discern].

11 And (it is/will be) days 1,290, from the time is taken away [sur - turned aside, removed] (the) perpetual [tamid - (the) continual] and is set up [nathan - give, put, set] (the) abomination [shiqquts - detested thing, abomination] (of) desolation [shamem - (the) desolate, apalling, devoid, barren, ruination]. [[From the time the perpetual (sacrifices/of prayers?) is taken away/removed (Lk.19:41,44?) and the (including final) abomination that desolates is set up (the final desolation upon the human temple meant for God’s Spirit/Presence?) shall be 1,290 days - which is 3.5 hebrew years, plus 30 days. Between the taking away and the setting up.]]

12 Blessed (it is) [esher - happiness, blessedness] to wait [chakah - to wait, awaiting] and arrive/come to the day/days 1,335. 13 But go your way Daniel. You shall rest and shall arise into your allotted place at the end of days/completion.” (1,290 + 45days = day 1,335?)

What I get from the Book of Daniel, concerning prophecy for today, is - ignoring Rev.7:1,3 where the world has been for some time - but is hidden, veiled, sealed - pun intended - by “the seals” being described as their full and complete effects, from their first occassion to their very last. See? In this way, very last day conditions are portrayed at the beginning of the vision. Hiding much of the vision.

But.. we can’t ignore Rev.7:1,3! Because everything else rests on it. For (surely?) it will be interrupted in some way, means or fashion. A crises. A consolidating of power. Then (surely?) comes the much lauded seven year treaty - not that it’s ratified to last seven years (logically) but that it shall, alas, only last seven years. It is of course broken in the middle against Israel when their perpetual (sacrifices, and, or place of?) is taken away, turned aside, stopped.. Lk.19:41,44 - “Oh Jerusalem!” - and anything in an imperfect state - “Not one stone, Jerusalem, will be left in you upon another..” (Hello?)

And then 3.5 hebrew years of 360 days, plus 30 days (a hebrew leap year?) later -> shall be set up a final abomination (appalling and abhorrent thing - imperfection/straying is an abyss of potential, something) which desolates. And happy the one/those who wait, and come to, day/the days 1,335. Which is 45 days later?

✌馃徏☮️馃晩️

…There’ll be a lot of normalcy.. try to be in all ways prepared..?

The war is east and west.. gog and magog? ..”clay and iron won’t really cleave”.. the iron/bronze settled with the faith, but the faith has “fallen away” Dn.7:7,19, Rev.13:1.. As far as wickedness, the dove and vulture (the iron and the clay) ..be gathered as wheat, or gathered as tare (to armageddon).. “the field is the world” not just the churches.. we should be as (discreet?) watchmen on the walls.. if folks can see the truth of prophecy they will see the truth of Jesus.. who “will draw all” Jn.12:32. 1Cor.3:16.

Daniel 11 Study

 Paraphrased with Interpretation

1 - “Also in the first year of Darius the Mede, I (arch angel) stood up to strengthen him. (I read in a commentary, “to consider the restoration of Israel and pass that on to his nephew Cyrus?”) 2 There will arise three more kings of Persia, then a fourth far richer and stronger who will stir up all against Greece. 3 Then (later) a mighty king of great dominion (vast conquest).. 4 But as soon as he has risen, his kingdom shall be broken and divided toward the four winds. (Alexander the Great of Greece who died young and his conquests went to four of his generals).

Wars and intrigues, wars and intrigues..

Between the two powers of north and south, Syria and Egypt, the Seleucids and Ptolomies,  lies Israel. Then throw Greece into the mix.. the spiritual/psychological conquerer.

15 Then the king of the north makes war. (Antiochus the great? Whose daughter was Cleopatra, which Egypt was briefly given over to?)

21 And will come to stand up a vile person (Antiochus Epiphanies, great persecuter of Israel, an a.c. and type of the final a.c.. During the days of the Maccabees) ..he shall come in peaceably, and obtain the kingdom by flatteries. 31 Forces from him shall appear and profane the temple and fortress. He shall take away the regular burnt offering. And they shall set up the abomination that makes desolate. (He sacrificed a pig to Jupiter on the altar of the temple.) 32 He shall seduce with flattery 33 but the wise among the people shall make many understand, though for some days they shall stumble by sword and flame, by captivity and plunder. 34 When they stumble, they shall receive a little help. And many shall join themselves to them with flattery. (I think here is where the pattern more visibly expands and repeats bringing us to the global fulfillment.) 35 And some of the wise shall stumble, so that they may be refined, purified, and made white, until the time of the end, for the appointed time awaits. 36 And the king [melek - king, royal] shall do as he wills. He will exalt himself and magnify himself above every god (man as highest power? And some supposedly evolved superior? lol) and shall speak astonishing things against the God of gods. He shall prosper till the indignation is completed/spent for what is decreed/destined shall be done. 37 ..He will magnify himself above all gods. (Again, man as highest power. The stronG rise, aka, rule.) 38 He shall honor a god of strength ..a god his fathers didn’t know he shall honor with wealth and gifts. 39 He shall deal with the strongest fortresses with the help of a foreign god. (..? Plays two sides?) Those who acknowledge him he shall advance... make them rulers over many and the land he’ll divide for gain.

40 At the time of the end, the king of the south shall attack him, but the king of the north shall rush upon him like a whirlwind.. wars and battles.. 41 He will come into the glorious [tsbiy - beautiful, prominent] land  43 He shall become ruler of the treasures of gold and of silver ($$) and all the precious things of Egypt, and the Libyans and the Ethiopians shall march in his train. 44 But news from the east and the north shall alarm him, and he shall go out with great fury to destroy many to destruction. 45 And shall pitch his palatial tents between the sea and the glorious holy mountain. Yet he shall come to his end, with none to help him. (One prophecy? Or at least two?)

     - North, south and east against him..

She calls herself a prophetess and is seducing and teaching my servants to practice sexual immorality and to eat food sacrificed to idols. (This isn’t the leftover meat the poor bought in the marketplace, but is a joining in the decadent feasts of ‘the gods’.) 21 I gave her time to repent and turn, but she refuses. 22 Behold, will be a sickbed, and those who commit adultery with her into great tribulation, unless they repent of her deeds, 23 and the children (and, or fruit?) of her struck dead/abolished [abolished by death]. And all the ecclesia will know that I am he who searches minds and hearts, and I will give to each of you according to your own works. 24 But to the rest of you in Thyatira, who do not hold to this teaching, who have not learned the deep things of Satan, as they say, to you I do not lay upon you any other burden, 25 except to hold fast [krate贸 - be strong, prevail, hold fast] what you have until I come. 26 The one who overcomes [nika贸 - conquers, prevails, subdues] (the lower self) and keeps my works to the end, to them I will give authority over the nations, 27 and they will rule with a (measuring) rod of iron (unbreakable Truth) as when earthen pots are shattered in pieces, even as I myself have received from my Father.                 paraphrased study

  - And to the angel [aggelos - an angel, a messenger, sometimes delegate] of the church in Pergamum write: ‘The words of he who has the sharp two-edged sword.’ (Truth. The tip of this sWord can delicately separate true thread from untrue thread upon the fabrics that make up the different tapestries that are in operation in the world.)

13 “I know where you live. Where Satan has his throne. But you hold fast to my name and you haven’t denied the faith, even in the days of Antipas my faithful witness, who was killed there where Satan is dwelling. 14 Yet I have a few things against you - you have some there who hold to the teaching of Balaam, who taught Balak to put a stumbling block in the path of the sons and daughters of Israel, so they ate food sacrificed to idols (they ended up joining the reverence of other ‘gods’) and they practiced sexual immorality (which was actually a part of the ‘worship’ and then there was human sacrifice of many babies to Molech).

15 You also have some who hold to the teaching of the Nicolaitans. (Nicolaitans may have begun as a following of a christian in error, named Nicolaus, and their lifestyles and things they did, and taught, were scandalous and corrupt.) 16 Therefore repent [metanoe贸 - to change one's mind or purpose, from met谩 - changed after being with, and noi茅艒 - think; think differently after being with]. If not, I will come to you quickly and war [poleme贸 - to make war] (the poles/extremes!) against them with the sword of my mouth. (The sWord from between his lips.) 17 Whoever has an ear, let them hear what the Spirit says to the churches (believers/followers). To the one who conquers/prevails I will give some of the hidden manna, and I will give them a white stone, with a new name written on it that no one knows except the one who receives it.”

“Overcomers”! Overcomers of what? ..”The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.” ..But what can come “out of the heart ..evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, sexual immoralities, thefts, false testimonies, slander.. anger, division..” Jesus said, “I am come that you might have joy.” Thank goodness it’s the Spirit that changes us and enables us. Our part? Is to “rest iN him”.

Yet you’re rich! I know about the slander of those who say they are Hebrew but are not, but are a synagogue of Satan. 10 Don’t fear what you’re about to suffer. The devil will put some of you in prison to test you, and you will suffer tribulation ten days. Be faithful, even to death, and I will give to you the crown of life.

11 Whoever has ears, let them hear what the Spirit says to the churches. They who overcome will not be hurt [adike贸 - acted unjustly towards, injured, acting contrary to what is divinely approved, harmed] by the second [deuteros - duo, afterwards, again, secondarily, second] death.”

The second death is referred to at the third mention of a lake of fire at the total, universal regenesis which Jesus called “the regeneration” - the greek word is palin/again-genesis - this is when God says “behold! I make all new” - translators changed “all” - greek word pas - into all things. Also 3 times in Eph.1:10 and in many more verses. And the second death is also said to be the death of death, which “all new” the second vivification, is greater than the first one which is at the Lord’s (full) return/appearing - which now “all new” naturally iS the end of death. The death in Adam being the first death. So this death - of death and all its shadow - must be the second.. “meant for the devil and his angels” which considering Eph.1:10, and Col.1:20, may suggest..?

Or? Or that is “and” as I think prophecy, like creation is in repeating patterns. The “second death” here - I prayed to better understand “2nd death” before posting this and then I let it be overnight. It seemed to come back to me first thing this morning that the answer is in the paragraph above, is in the letter. And it has struck me that perhaps in this letter it reads a bit more simply(?) That the second death having to do with earthly tribulation, would be death itself - dying at that time, when you have previously - during this brief lifetime - died with Christ. If we overcome, we will see and understand clearly? (Rev.7:9,4; 14:4 / 9:5) Will know the signs and what’s what. So by “the death the second” not be harmed. The greek “the” can also be read as having to do with “that, this, the one, the other”.

Second death as one of God’s riddles, sometimes code. In Rev.20:14, the second death of the universe, the fiery regeneration/regenesis. And 21:8 is if anyone is still abominable, unbelieving. Which is hiGhly unlikely. And 20:6, for those who were martyred, because of Jesus, death’s power has been annulled, so ultimately how could they be harmed?

‘Last days’ are not total hell on earth as some have taught and portrayed. For there will be eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day ..compared to when Noah entered the ark - then the flood. Which, it wasn’t nice times “every thought was only for evil”, Satan having experimented with the dna/dabbled in human breeding..? A feature of the coming triple six miracle? But he misunderstands the totality of corruption. There is no honor among thieves.. hence the fiery flood ->manmade. First of three mentions of a lake of fire - but does not mention “second death” - Rev.19:20.

What is it we are to “overcome”?

Daniel 10 Study

 Paraphrased And Condensed With

      Suggested Interpretation

Ten and eleven run together. Much of the prophecy concerns Israel of course, yet the beginning of chapter 12 strongly suggests the prophecies somehow extend to the global culmination. As verse 12:2-4 concludes the prophecies this way - “And many of those who sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to nonfading life, and some to shame and everlasting [the hebrew - olam - long duration, a time/duration) of contempt [deraon - aversion, abhorrence; only one other verse in the Scripture has this word - Isaiah 66:24:

For Context, 23 and 24 - “From new moon to new moon and from Sabbath to Sabbath (month to month and week to week) all mankind will come to worship before Me,” says the LORD.

24 Coming forth (into GWTJ ‘day’?) they (all) will look upon the dead bodies of those who rebelled against me. For its worm never dies, it’s a fire that is not put out becoming an abhorrence to all mankind.”

..How? shall all mankind see the corpses of armageddon, which is of the end/apocalypse? Aka, the result of this all important contrast.

Answer? Because, logically, GWTJ ‘day’ will be a duration of great review. And the course and result of straying will thoroughly abhor and disgust us all. “For its worm never dies, it’s a fire that is not put out becoming an abhorrence

to all mankind.” Straying/imperfection is the ‘parable’ of the decomposing ‘apple’, which its worm/corruption/spoiling does not end or reverse, as it cannot.

Dan.12:3 -  “And those who are wise will shine like the brightness of the sky and heavens above, and those who turn many to righteousness, like the stars. 4 But you, Daniel, shut up the words, seal the book, until the time of the end. Many shall run to and fro (jets, etc) and knowledge (good, including biblical! and not so good) shall increase.”

Chapter 10

1 - In the third year of Cyrus king of Persia a word was revealed to Daniel.. And the word was true, and it was a great conflict. And he understood the word and vision.

2 In those days I, Daniel, was mourning for three weeks. ..On the twenty-fourth day of the first month, as I was standing on the bank of the great river Tigris, 5 I looked, and behold, a radiant man clothed in linen, with a belt of fine gold.. 6 .. whose words was like the sound of a great multitude. 7 Those who were with me didn’t see the vision, but a great fear fell upon them, and they ran away and hid. 8 I was alone, no strength was in me, 9 and as he spoke, I fell to the ground in a deep sleep. 10 But a hand touched me and set me trembling on my hands and knees. 11 And he said to me, “O Daniel, man greatly loved, understand these words that I speak to you, for I have been sent.” So I stood up trembling. 12 Then he said, “Fear not, Daniel, for from the first day that you set your heart to understand and humbled yourself before your God, your words have been heard. 13 The prince (arch angel) of the kingdom of Persia withstood me twenty-one days, but Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me, for I was left there with the kings of Persia, 14 and I have come to make you understand what is to happen to your people in the latter days. For the vision is for days yet to come. 20 I will return to fight against the prince of Persia. But then the prince of Greece will come. 21 I will tell you what is inscribed in the book of truth. There is none battling by my side against these except Michael, your prince.” (The battling for lands and earthly powers. Empire against empire.)

 €XpLoR!n9 ReVeLaTion

                      paraphrased study

1 - “To the angel of [en - in, on, at, by, with] the church in Ephesus write - ‘The words of he who holds the seven stars in his right hand, and who walks among the seven golden lampstands. 2 I know your hard work, your patient endurance, and how you can’t bear with those who do evil, but have tested those who call theirselves apostles but they’re not. And you found them to be false. 3 You have had perseverance and have endured for my name's sake, and you haven’t grown weary. 4 But I have against you this, that you have abandoned your first love. 5 Call to mind from where you have fallen and turn and the first results do. If not, however, I will come and remove your lampstand out of its place, unless you repent/change course. 6 Yet this you have, you hate [miseo - hate, detest, love less] the works of the Nicolaitans, which I also hate. (Nicolaitans mAy have began as a following of a christian in error, and their works/things they did and believed were scandalous and corrupt.)

7 Whoever has an ear 馃尳 let them hear what the Spirit says to the churches. (Plural.) To the one who is victorious [nika贸 - to conquer, prevail, from n铆k膿 - victory, properly, conquer, overcome, to carry off the victory, come off victorious] I will grant to eat of the tree of life, which is in the paradise of God.’”

..How do we come off victorious? I think there’s one rule, “love God”. Draw near. Pursue Him. Did Jesus give us a ‘formula for success’ on the eve of his crucifixion? A spirituaL formula. The peaceful, joyful wine of God’s Spirit/Presence. And our daily bread, from the mouth of God, the New Testament (way) of our Lord.

Daniel 9 Study

Paraphrased And Condensed With

     Suggested Interpretation

9:1 - [Babylon was overthrown in the night by Media, and] Darius the Mede was appointed successor to Belshazzar (Nebuchadnezzar’s son). [Darius the Mede, was the predecessor of Cyrus, who sent “all” Israel in “all” his kingdom home.] (And Assyria, where the “ten tribes” had been led captive, by then, was again a part of Babylonia, now Persia.) — 2 In the first year of Darius the Medes reign, I, Daniel, perceived in the books of Jeremiah the prophet, the number of years that the desolation of Jerusalem would last, namely, seventy years. (Until Cyrus would make proclamation “Israel go on home”.) 4 I prayed to the Lord my God and made confession, saying ..“O LORD, the great and awesome God, who keeps covenant (treaty, agreement, friendship) and steadfast love with those who love him and keep his (life giving, society preserving) commandments (and instructions)..6 We haven’t listened to your servants the prophets 10 ..you have banished.. because of the treachery committed against you.” [They even burned children and babies alive to the god Molech, while beating a drum/tophet to cover the screams.] (Why God wanted a separated nation to birth the “savior oF the-world, and disciplined them to strain out such horrors and also waywardness which curses.) 11..”And so the oath [alah -an oath] and the curse [shebuah - an oath, curse] (the effect, of cause and effect) that are written in the Law of Moses the servant of God, has been poured out upon us, because we have sinned against him. (Broken the treaty.) …13 ..All this calamity has come upon us, yet we have not looked for ..the LORD our God, seeking insight by your truth and turning from wickedness. (As evil ever begets evil.) 14 Therefore Yhvh (the LORD) has kept ready the calamity” [ra' - adversity] (his wrath, imo, is that he has created a cause and effect universe. Abandon God and the shield of his Spirit/Presence is naturally given up and lost, and the other fierce ‘gods’/demons who hate the light that was once there, are bound to viciously attack). ..16 “O Lord, according to all your righteous acts, let your anger (of allowing naturally occurring consequences) and wrath turn away now from your city Jerusalem, your holy hill ..because of our doings.. your people have become a byword among all who are around us. 17..O LORD, make your face to shine upon your sanctuary, which is desolate.”

21 While I was speaking in prayer, the man Gabriel, whom I had seen earlier (in chapter 8) came in swift flight to me at the hour of the evening sacrifice. (Without a temple, the sacrifices were sacrifices of prayers, and this was carried through in the later synagogues. The whole idea of ancient sacrifices has to do with guilt and human psychology. Wrath and appeasement yes, but for an angry god is code for the sensitive and delicate human psyche. Surely? Have you ever beat yourself up over something? Perhaps “with many stripes”?) 22 Gabriel said to me, “Oh Daniel, I have now come to give to you understanding and insight. 23 When you began to pray for help and mercy a word went out, and I have come to tell it to you, for you are greatly loved.” (Talk about “swift flight”!) “Therefore consider the word and understand this.”

24 “All together, seventy weeks are decreed concerning your people and your holy city, to finish the transgression [pesha - rebellion] to put an end to sin, to atone for iniquity/guilt [avon - iniquity, guilt], to bring in enduring righteousness [tsedeq - rightness, righteousness] to seal [chatham - to seal, affix a seal, seal up] vision and prophet, and to anoint a most holy place. [Most holy place is where one meets with God. Metaphor of the heart? In the temple, it was the innermost room where the high priest entered once a year, but now “we can boldly enter the most holy place” (Heb.10:19) and we can “draw near to God with a sincere heart, with the full assurance that faith brings!” (Heb.10:22). And to prove a point, I’ll include the rest of the verse - “having our hearts sprinkled and cleansed from a guilty conscience”. Heb.9:9 says the old system of sacrifice “was unable to cleanse the conscience”. …To anoint a most holy place.. the meeting place. Because God, like he was with Abraham, is a “friend” and a “Father” who “is love”.]

25 “Know therefore and understand” [the scripture is written to each one of us] “that from the going out of the word to restore and build Jerusalem  (later under Artaxerxes) until Messiah the prince, there will be seven weeks. Then there will be sixty-two weeks of building Jerusalem.. with plaza and wall, but during troubling times. 26 And after the sixty-two weeks, the anointed one will be cut off [crucified/executed] and shall (seem to) have nothing. And the city and the sanctuary will be destroyed by the nation of the prince that is coming (one of the Caesars, Titus). Its end coming like a flood, and until the end of war (Ps.2) (there) will be desolations. 27 And (a) strong/mighty covenant [berith - treaty, league, covenant] great/many (for) one week [of years]. (At) half week, (an) end to sacrifice and offering, (and) on the wing (height) of abominations (will come?) appalling desolation, even up to the consummation [kalah - completion, full end] that is cut/determined/decreed/destined(?) is poured out upon the appalling/the desolate. (That would be the “quick” (concurrent?) bowls of Revelation, the final results of this all important contrast, and of the doings of mankind.) (Cross Ref. “an end to sacrifice and offering” Dan.12:11-12, an intriguing math problem. Lk.19:41,44?)

Daniel 8 Study

In the third year of the reign of King Belshazzar of Babylon [Nebuchadnezzar’s son] a vision appeared to me, Daniel, after the one in the first year (ch.7).

2 In the vision I was in Susa of Elam (later Persia) at the Ulai canal. 3 And behold, a ram standing on the bank of the canal. It had two horns, and both horns were high, but one was higher than the other, and the higher one came up last. [Media-Persia, and Persia surpassed Media.] 4 And the ram charged westward and northward and southward. No beast could stand before him, and there was no one who could rescue from his power. He did as he pleased and became great. (Would conquer Babylon.)

5 And as I was considering, a male goat came from the west (Greece, and some think perhaps another in ‘last’ days) across the face of the whole earth, without touching the ground. And the goat had a large horn between his eyes. ..And he came to the ram 7 and enraged, rammed the ram, breaking his two horns, and trampling him (like the bronze in chapter 7 tramples ..Greek philosophy tearing up what the iron/Rome didn’t/doesn’t subdue, meaning the  iron and bronze from Daniel chapter two). And there was no one who could rescue the ram, and 8 the goat became exceedingly great, but when he was strong, the great horn was broken. And instead came up four horns toward the four winds. 9 Out of one came a little horn, which grew great [gadal - arrogant, great, bold] toward the south, and east, and (arrogant, bold) toward the glorious land/God’s land/the promised. [This is the story of the MacCabees and the cruel despot Antiochus Epiphanes. Though history repeats as usually does prophecy, with a more or less local or ‘soon’ fulfillment and at least one more at the culmination of history. Sort of ‘micro’ and macro; partial pond ripple to full pond ripple. And besides that, is the little horn of chapter 7, the one with eyes, from a Roman/Graeco - iron/bronze foundation entity/institution.) 10 The horn grew great, even to the host of heaven. And some of the host and some of the stars it threw down to the ground and trampled on them. 11 It became great, even as great as the Prince of the host. And the regular burnt offering was taken away, and the place of the sanctuary overthrown 12 ..a host will be given over to it and the offerings, because of transgression (consequence, spiritual shield is down) ..it will throw truth to the ground ..and will act (out) and prosper. 13 Then I heard a holy one speaking, and another holy one, “For how long is the vision concerning the regular burnt offering, the transgression that makes desolate, and the giving over of the sanctuary and host to be trampled?” 14 …“For 2,300 evenings and mornings. Then the sanctuary shall be restored.” [Fulfilled in the days of the Maccabees, but may have another fulfillment, 2,300 days is 6.3 years. If 2300 years is meant, it may correspond to the translating of the Hebrew scriptures into Greek, which brought with it some myths-? And it is afterall the bronze which scatters and tramples - in chapter 7, by the bronze feet of the beast more terrible with ten horns and iron teeth, Roman columns(?)]

15 When I, Daniel, had seen the vision, I sought to understand it. And behold, there stood before me one having the appearance of a man. 16 And I heard a voice from between the banks of the Ulai, and it called out, “Gabriel, make this man understand the vision.” 17 So he came near where I stood. And I was frightened and fell on my face. But he said, “Understand, oh son of man, that the vision is for the time of the end.” 18 And I fell into a deep sleep but he touched me and made me to stand (resurrection prophesied/portrayed?)19 and said, “I will make known to you what shall be at the latter end of the indignation. [Acharith - the after-part, end (of the) zaam - indignation, insolence.] For it is for the appointed time of the end.

20 As for the ram that you saw with the two horns, these are the kings of Media and Persia. 21 And the goat is the king of Greece. And the great horn between his eyes is the first king (Alexander; and possibly? Last days, the west charges enraged against the east, but its POWER wanes by breaking (being divided) into four. Two powers, but each with their extremes?) 22 As for the horn that was broken, in place of which four others arose, four kingdoms/powers shall arise from his (Alexander’s) nation, but not with his power. 23 And at the latter end of their kingdom, when transgressors have reached their limit, a king of bold face, one who understands riddles (espionage, stealth?) shall arise. 24 His power will be great—but not by his own power. And he shall cause fearful destruction (also toward last days? Rev.13:13? Which event pinpoints an office.) And he (last days? originally from that rev.13:13 office) shall succeed in what he does, and will ruin mighty men and the people who are the saints. 25 By his stealth treachery will prosper under his hand, and in his own mind he will become great. Without warning he will destroy many. And he shall even rise up against the Prince of princes, but without hand he shall be broken. 26 The vision of the evenings and the mornings that has been told is true, but seal up the vision, for it refers to many days in the future.”

27 And I, Daniel, was overcome and lay sick for some days. Then I rose and went about the king's business. (As a captive in Babylon, Daniel was recognized as very able and was drafted into the king’s court of advisors, astrologers, etc.) But I was appalled by the vision and didn’t understand it.

            WeeKly BooK oF Revelation

The revelation vision is a piece of the Truth puzzle. It can help reveal what it is God is doing and how. And most importantly why.

                 A Paraphrased Study

9 - I, John, your brother and partner in the tribulation and in the kingdom and in the patient endurance that are in Jesus, was on the prison island called Patmos on account of the word of God and the testimony of Jesus. 10 I was in the Spirit on the Lord's day, and heard behind me a loud voice like a trumpet sounding 11 saying, “Write what you see in a book and send it to the seven churches in Ephesus, Smyrna, Pergamum, Thyatira, Sardis, Philadelphia and Laodicea.”

12 Then I turned to see the voice that was speaking and when I turned I saw seven gold lampstands, 13 and in the midst of them one like a Son of man, clothed with a long robe and with a gold sash around his chest. 14 The hairs of his head were white, like pure white wool, and snow. His eyes were like a flame of fire, 15 his feet like glowing bronze, refined in a fiery furnace. And his voice was like the roar of mighty waters. 16 In his right hand he held seven stars, from his mouth came a sharp two-edged sWord (“thy word is Truth” Jn.17:17) and his face was like the sun in its shining. 17 And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as though dead. But he laid his right hand on me, saying, “Fear not, I am the first and the last, 18 the living one. I died, but behold I am alive forevermore, and I have the keys of death and of the hades/grave. (These two are capitalized in some versions. Which I find completely strange!) 19 Write therefore the things seen, what is now, and what will take place after now. 20 As for the mystery of the seven stars I hold in my right hand, and the seven gold lampstands, the seven stars are the angels of the seven churches, and the seven lampstands are the seven churches.

€XpLoR!n9 ReVeLaTion - 1 1-8

       WeeKly BooK oF Revelation

                paraphrased study

1 - The revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave to him to show to his servants “what things it behooves (is sure?) to happen in quickness”. And he sent it by his angel to his servant John. 2 Who bears witness to the message of God and to the life and works of Jesus Christ, even to all that he saw. (John talked about himself in this way also in his gospel account/recollection.) 3 Blessed is the one who reads aloud the words of this prophecy [not everyone has a scripture scroll] and blessed are those who hear it and keep what is written in it, for the time is near. (When it’s understood, the time approaches!? And blessed are those who hear.)

4 John, to the seven churches that are in Asia —

Grace to you and peace from he who is and who was and who is to come, and from the seven spirits (“seven angels of the churches”?) who are before his throne, 5 and from Jesus Christ the faithful witness, the firstborn from death, and the ruler of kings upon earth. (Rules kings, a repeated theme in both old and new testaments, ‘code’ for it makes no sense to make wars against kings? Instead say prayers.) To he who loves us and has freed us from our sins [hamartia - missing the mark] by his blood (life given) 6 and has made us (who are being saved/rescued, from death and its cause, now) to be a kingdom. A kingdom of priests to his God and Father. (To serve! When? Especially during the latter part of the Lord’s long second advent? The advent a longer and wider version of his first so brief one. Initially some Pharisees, etc? Rich man, Lazarus conditions of inner outside of the light darkness? Even like the outside of the vision narrative of Rev.22 ..But 144,000 plus a great crowd from all nations serving ..called reigning, for to do his works, is surely? to reign.)

And to him gLory and dominion forever and ever! Amen! 7 Behold, he is coming with the clouds, and EVERY eye will see him (on GWTJ ‘day’) and anyone who pricked/pierced him, and all tribes of earth will mourn because of [epi - on, upon, what fits, on account of] him (regrets, etc? Gut wrenching remorse experienced by some. Think cruel despots, etc.) Even so. Amen.

8 “I am the Alpha and the Omega,” says the Lord God, “who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty.” (Who forever was, and who forever shall be.)

Bookend events of the Lord’s long second advent -

     2Pet.3:10 ->the advent ->2Pet.3:11-12.

Intro - This Year’s Revelation Study

About The Vision: Ladies and gentlemen take your seats..

And hold on to your seats! We are about to take the journey of all journeys. It’s the journey into Truth. Not many may care about Truth.. Let the blind lead the blind.. It “aLL” comes out in the wash best and pure in the end! [Greek word tel, telos, the end-aim. We are zooming toward the target. In the spirit of the translators, all things come out best and pure in the ‘end’. In the spirit of the Spirit/Presence of God - All come out best and pure.. Greek pas - all.]

Life as we presently know it, is the sieve. The crucible and laver. It’s the ‘parable’ of the decomposing ‘apple’ and its worm that simply cannot quit. God (surely?) is Life. And he “is perfect” Mt.5:48, and 100% unfettered Genius.

And if there had been no option to stray in Eden??

In spirit this is where our story begins..

The man of lawlessness / the anthropoi of lawlessness / the mankind of lawlessness iS “seated (as) in the temple as god”/highest power. “Christendom haS “fallen away”. The world iS following a “false prophet” and yes this one has a prophecy. On the wing (pinnacle) of desolations of course will come the infamous and notorious triple six. But that’s down the road a ways.

This is a weekly study.

€XpLa!ning ReVeLaTion

Some KEYS to get us started..

馃崈 [#1] - the vision (scroll) is the ride and victory (Ps.2) of the white horse rider, the gospel 6:1-2

[#2] - the vision is told 3 times — 6:1-2 to 11:19 - ch.12 a stand alone history and insert (but vs 17 needs Mt.23:39) - and 13:1 to 19:11. All 3 meet again at the seventh trumpet.

[#3] - the seals are described - at their first occurrence (ch.6) as their fuLL effects on planet Earth, first to very last, veiling what, especially seal 6 is and why Rev.7:1,3 (9,4)

[#4] - the Rev.13:13 event pinpoints an office, not (yet?) a person

[#5] - The “false prophet” is not the 13:13 office but enabled the event/seal. Its “strong delusion” of “seating man in the temple as God”/highest power (man/anthropos, this too not yet? a man) caused western culture to “fall away”. It has modern wonders, “miracles to mislead” and of course a prophecy.

Daniel Intro - Pre Study Notes

      Condensed and Paraphrased

                    study notes

          before beginning Daniel

598bc babylonia conquers Judah (Israel has already been carried off to Assyria, Israel had split into two.)

586bc Nebuchadnezzar sacked Jerusalem, carried many off to Babylon.. Babylon later fell to Persia:

Belshazzar (Nebuchadnezzar’s son and last Babylonian king) - the writing on the wall king; Darius the Mede (Otherwise known as Nabonidus?) “received the kingdom” (under?) Cyrus the Great of Persia 550bc to 538bc - Cyrus decreed all Israel in all his kingdom should go home, and some/many did, led by Zerubbabel, and they began to “rebuild the TEMPLE” (and at the time of Cyrus’ proclamation, the massive empire included once again Assyria)

           — — — — —

Then there’s 3 kings (Dn.11:2) Cambyses; Smerdis; Darius the Great

516bc the rebuilt temple is dedicated

Note - “the captivity” and resulting “diaspora/dispersion” is when synagogues were first established, they were needed for observing the Sabbath, and for holy days, etc, and this is when **prayers were substituted for temple sacrifices** (a biblically repeated theme..)

            — — — — —

(4th king, Dn.11) 486bc Xerxes’ great and famous war against Greece …non-consequential reigns are left out of the prophecy list. Alexander such a while later said his war against Persia was in revenge, then he died, the kingdom going to four of his generals.. which became the wars of the Ptolemies (Egypt) and the Seleucids (Syria) up to Antiochus Epiphanes the villain, super persecuter, in the prophecy’s immediate, more ‘micro’ fulfillment, and of course in the Maccabean account.

            — — — — —

464bc to 425bc Artaxerxes (son of Xerxes) ruled the Persian empire, Esther was one of his queens, it was from his court, around 440bc that Ezra and Nehemiah traveled from Persia to Jerusalem to start rebuilding the rubble that was Jerusalem’s WALLS - Artaxerxes’ decree to - rebuild Jerusalem - fulfilled part of Daniel’s 70 weeks (of years) prophecy (very technical, um, code?) 9:25 - from the decree (and support) to rebuild aNd restore Jerusalem - until the coming of Messiah/an anointed one (on Palm Sunday, the declaration of) - there will be seven weeks (of years, 49 years of building, until the 16th year of Darius the Great, lion’s den king, the ancient Persian empire was at its largest) . And (then) sixty-two (more) weeks (of years, 7x62/434 years) until Messiah (entered Jerusalem in the Triumphal Entry).

So, the prophecy was 7 weeks of years (49 weeks) of rebuilding Jerusalem, then 62 more weeks of years, which is 434 years, to Messiah’s Triumphal Entry.

49 plus 434 is 483, so in prophecy, leaving one week of years (left) - 7 years of the total 490.

           — — — — —

The first two of the large prophetic visions in Daniel end with obvious, last days fulfillment. These two visions are, first, Nebuchadnezzar’s dream statue of earth empires (Dn.2 and 2) which impressive statue is struck upon the feet (the ten toes/divisions called kings of the last hour in Rev.17:12,16) with a stone, so that the statue topples, and the stone (kingdom) becomes a great mountain/kingdom that fills the earth.

And the second vision, of the four, succeeding one another beasts, the last one “more terrible” (7:7,19 & Rev.13:1) with the iron and bronze of Nebuchadnezzar’s dream statue. The iron and bronze representing the empires of Rome and Greece, that shatters/roman and subdues/greek - also - concludes with an obvious last days reference, as it ends with — as Daniel watched “thrones were set in place and the ancient of days took his seat”. (All the world is a stage - Shakespeare.)

So in the same pattern (?) a third vision. In chapter 8. And we know the ram is the same old (Media) Persia, and the goat that charges at it is Greece - so maNy wars! Spanning so long - Xerxes.. Alexander.. Antiochus Epiphanes (who claimed he was Zeus incarnate) —> to today? As west against east.. Verse 23, the power of the west (of today, goat which charged so far east) becomes diluted by breaking off (dividing, division) into four different powers. (“A house or kingdom devided will fall.”) Or two powers (the liberal and conservative of the west?) - but each with their extremes.. Making four. Weakness, division. BUT one of them, portrayed as “a horn with eyes” will rise.. (A SAME seat/oFFice, which Revelation, verse 13:13 pinpoints/pinpointed. Not yeT? pointing to an individual.)

                    - - -

History, thus prophecy, repeats. Having a more or less immediate ‘micro’ fulfillment, and then later a culmination of all history, macro fulfillment - 9:26 - “After the sixty-two ‘sevens’ (weeks of years) the Anointed One will be put to death and will (appear to) have nothing. (After that) The people of the ruler/prince (Caesars, emperors) who will come, will destroy the city and the sanctuary (70A.D.). The end will come like a flood.

Julius who wasn’t an emperor; Augustus first Roman emperor, Luke 2:1 - “In those days a decree went out from Caesar Augustus that all the world should be registered” -> just before Jesus was born; Tiberius; Caligula; Claudius under whom the Jews thus Priscilla and Aquila had to leave Rome, Acts 18:2; Nero; Galba; Otho; Vitellius; Vespasian; Titus who sacked Jerusalem as a general under Vespasian before he (Titus) became emperor; Domitian who banished disciple/apostle John to Patmos — Note: Napolean Bonaparte crowned himself emperor of a Roman Empire.

War will continue - until, the end. And desolations are decreed [decided] (made into laws?)

The 70th week starts when the ‘prince’/a.c. of-the-day, makes and confirms a strong covenant (concerning Israel) with many for one week.

(Rev.13:1-5)  Daniel 9:27 - In the middle of the week he, final prince/a.c. will “put an end to sacrifice” (of prayers?) in 12:11 it’s worded as “takes away the perpetual sacrifice” — oR, imo (current) place of? Lk.19:41,44.

…will put an end to sacrifice and offering. [Yes, did occur under Antiochus Epiphanes whom the Maccabees valiantly fought and routed.]

Dn.12:11, 9:27 - ..Will end/prohibit/take away the perpetual sacrifices. Wars to the ‘end’. And on the wing of abominations (as one exceeding them all, of that day?) will set up an abomination that causes desolation.

Dn.12:11 - “From the time - that the daily (hebrew, perpetual) sacrifice is abolished - and the abomination that causes desolation is set up, there will be 1,290 days (3.5 hebrew years plus 30 days). Verse 12 - Blessed are they who wait, and come to, the 1,335 days.”

So what is set up lasts/runs for 45 days? Escalating the last “ten days”? Rev.2:10.

The abominations in the past - which desolated, had to do with the temple(s). The brick and mortar temple. Could the final one have to do with the human temple made for God’s Spirit/Presence?

“..Until the end [kalah: the completion, consummation]” 9:27 - “And on the wing of abominations will come one who makes desolate, until the decreed (ordained) (natural?) destruction is poured out (upon him).”

Rev.15:1, 16:1 - “..seven angels with seven plagues, which are the last.. Go and pour out on the earth the seven bowls of the wrath of God.”

Verse 9:24 (at day 1,335) Jesus returns and anoints a holy place (with his presence).

(I forgot to post this earlier, so it’s out of order.)

Daniel 7 Study

              Paraphrased

     With Suggested Interpretation

                           ~ * ~

This story actually precedes Daniel chapter 5 which was the handwriting on the wall chapter, which concerned Belshazzar king of Babylon. (Note: Prophecy often is a repeating pattern.)

In the first year of Belshazzar, Daniel had a dream and “visions of his head”. So he wrote down the dream. 2 ..In my vision by night, I saw the four winds of heaven stirring up the great sea. (These following kingdoms were around the Mediterranean Sea.) 3 And out of the sea (of humanity) came up four great beasts (empires) each different from the others. 4 The first was like a mighty lion with the wings of an eagle. But then as I looked its wings were plucked off, and it was made to stand upon legs like a man. And the mind of man was given to it. (Babylon and Babylon humbled from its high mystical reputation.) 5 And behold, another beast, a second one. It was like a bear. And it was raised up on one side and had three ribs between its teeth. It was told to, “Arise, devour much land.” (Persia came after Babylon, or actually Media-Persia did, but the Persian ‘side’ surpassed Media, and spread widely. The ribs in its teeth are said to be Babylon, Egypt and Lydia.) 6 After this I looked, and behold, another beast! This one was like a (swift) leopard, but it had four wings of a bird upon its back. And the beast also had four heads. Dominion was given to it. (Greece and its four divisions after Alexander.) 7 After this I saw in the night visions, and behold, a fourth beast. This one was more terrifying and dreadful, and exceedingly strong. It had great iron teeth (Roman columns?) with which it devoured and broke in pieces. (The iron, see chapter 2, Nebuchadnezzar’s dream statue.) Then it stamped what was left with its feet. It was different from the beasts that came before it. It had ten horns [Rev.13:1]. (It ended up birthing a cluster of ten?) 8 As I was wondering about the horns, behold, coming up among them was another horn, a little one (a little brother? ..from my own studies, Rev.12:14 inserted) before which three of the first horns were pulled up by the roots (out of the land). This horn had eyes like the eyes of a man, and  a mouth that began to speak great pompous things. (This later horn ends up producing the last days a.c.)

9 Then as I looked, thrones were placed, and the Ancient of Days took his seat. (“All the world is a stage” - Shakespeare.) His clothing was white as snow, and the hair of his head was like pure wool. His throne was flames of fire, and its wheels were great fiery swirls. 10 A stream of fire issued from before him, and a thousand thousands served him. Ten thousand times ten thousand were standing before him. The court was seated for judgment, and the books were opened.

11 I looked then because of the fierceness of the words the horn was saying. But as I looked, the beast (the many headed and many horned geopolitical beast of the hour) was killed. It’s body was destroyed and given over to be consumed by fire. (Effects of war.) 12 As for the rest of the beasts (nations of earth) their rulership was taken away, but their lives continued for a season and a time.

13 As I was watching in the night visions, behold, with the clouds of heaven came one like a son of man, and he came to the Ancient of Days, and was brought before him. 14 And was given to him a kingdom, and dominion and glory, that all peoples, nations, and languages should serve him. His dominion is an everlasting dominion, which will not pass away, and his kingdom one that shall not come to ruin.

15 As for me, Daniel, my spirit within me was troubled, for the visions of my head alarmed me. 16 So I approached one of those nearby and asked him the truth concerning the vision. So he made known to me the interpretation, saying, 17 “These four great beasts are four kings/kingdoms which will arise out of the earth. 18 But it’s the saints of the Most High who will receive the kingdom and possess the kingdom forever/age to age.” 19 Then I wanted to know the truth about the fourth beast, which was different from the others, very terrifying, with its teeth of iron and claws of bronze (Greece) which devoured and broke in pieces with its teeth, and trampled what was left with its (bronze) feet. (Greece subdues what Rome doesn’t break; a ‘world’, then entity/institution with Roman/Graeco foundations.) 20 And I asked about the ten horns on its head, and the other horn that came up later, before which three of them fell (after Rev.12:14) the horn that had eyes and a mouth and was (or that is, ended up) speaking pompous and great things. - (This is the same office that is/was pinpointed by the Rev.13:13 event.) - Which horn seemed (to end up) greater than its companions. 21 And then as I looked, this horn made war with the saints and prevailed over them! 22 That is, until the Ancient of Days came and judgment was given for (on the side of) the saints [qaddish - sacred, holy] of the Most High, and the time came for possessing the kingdom.

23 The angel said, “As concerning the fourth beast, there will be a fourth kingdom of earth. It will be different from all the kingdoms/nations, and it shall eat up all the earth, and trample and break to pieces. (Mighty “iron fisted” Rome.) 24 As for the ten horns, out of this kingdom ten kings/royalties shall arise (arose) and then another after them, which will be different from the ten, and shall put down, overcome three. (By its expansion.) 25 But it shall (come to) speak pompous words against the Most High and shall weary the faithful (Rev.12:14 and worldwide) and shall think to change the times [zeman - time, epochs] (history?) and laws. And they shall be given into his hand for a time, times, and half a time (Rev.13:5,6). — 26 But the court shall sit in judgment, and his dominion shall be taken away, and utterly consumed and destroyed. (Apocalypse.) — 27 And the kingdom and the dominion and the greatness of the kingdoms under the whole heaven shall be given to the faithful of the Most High. And his kingdom shall be an enduring and unfading kingdom, within which all dominions will serve and obey him.”

28 So here is the end of the matter! As for me, Daniel, my thoughts greatly alarmed me, and my face paled, but I kept the matter close to heart.

        WeeKly BooK oF Revelation

                paraphrased study

                             ~ ~

3 - And there shall be no more curse nor cursed (accursed) for all [pas - all] curse [katan谩thema  - from kat谩 - according to, down, which intensifies an谩thema - a curse – properly, an oath-curse which "devotes something to destruction" literally, to take it down] shall no longer be. And the throne of God and of the Lamb will be in it (the New Jerusalem) and his servants will serve him. [Latreia - from latris - render technical, acceptable service because qualified.] 4 They will see his face, and his name will be on their foreheads. (No more ‘mystery babble’/all confusion.) 5 And by-night will be no more. They will not need the light of a lamp nor of the sun, for the Lord God will be the light of them, and (so) they will reign [basileu贸 - exercise dominion] (over creation and well being, not over others, lol) age to age.

6 “These words are faithful and true” the angel said, “and the Lord God of the spirits [pneuma: wind, breath, spirit] of the prophets, has sent his angel to show his servants what must come to pass in quickness [tachu - quickly, speedily]”.

7 “And behold, I come quickly [tachu]. Blessed is the one who keeps the words of the prophecy of this book.”

8 I, John, am the one who heard and saw all these things. And when I heard and saw them, I fell down to worship at the feet of the angel who showed them to me, 9 but he said, “You mustn’t do that! I am a fellow servant with you and the prophets, and with those who keep the words of this book. Worship God.”

10 Then he told me, “Do not seal up the words of this book of prophecy, for the time is near at hand.11 The ones being unrighteous, let them be unrighteous still. (Until then! And INITIALLY during GWTJ ‘day’.) And the ones who are vile, let them be vile still. (Until then! And INITIALLY during GWTJ ‘day’.) And those being righteous, let them practice righteousness still, and those who are holy [hagios - the fundamental (core, basic) meaning of hagios is "different" – thus a temple in the 1st century was hagios - holy, sacred because different from other buildings; different from the world because like the Lord] let them be so still. 12 Behold, I am coming quickly, bringing with me what’s due [misthos - pay for service, literally or figuratively, good or bad] to repay each for what they have done. 13 I am the Alpha and the Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the end. 14 Blessed are those who wash their robes, so they may have the right to the tree of life and that they may enter the city by its gates. 15 Outside (now, and initially during GWTJ ‘day’) are the dogs and sorcerers [pharmakos - poisoner, sorcerer, magician] and the sexually immoral [pornos] and murderers and idolaters [eid贸lolatr茅s - an image worshiper] and everyone loving and making/doing a lie. 16 I, Jesus, have sent my angel to testify to you these things to the churches. I am the root and the descendant of David, the bright morning star.”

17 The Spirit and the Bride say, “Come.” And the one hearing let them say come. And the one thirsting let them come, and the one desiring, let them take the water of life freely. 18 And I testify to everyone hearing the words of the prophecy of this book, if anyone adds to them, God will add to him the plagues described. 19 And if anyone should take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God will take away his share in what is described in this (Rev.) book, the share out of the New Jerusalem and out of the tree of life (the healing of the nations). (See vs.3b?) 20 And He who is testifying of these things says, “Surely I am coming quickly.” Amen. Come, Lord Jesus! 21 The grace of the Lord Jesus be with all. Amen.

                The End.

Prophet Daniel Summaries Chapters 1 - 6

      Adventures In Babylon!

          >> Ch 1 and 2 <<

The Imposing Dream Image of Empire

 • Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon came to Jerusalem and besieged it.. he carried off to Babylon many of the people, and some of the articles from the temple of God, he took and put in the treasure house of his god. Daniel is drafted into King Nebuchadnezzar’s court (of wise men and astrologers) and becomes known for his insight and wisdom. King Nebuchadnezzar has a troubling dream so that “his sleep escapes him”. But he can’t even remember the dream, so he calls in the wise men of his court and wants them to not only interpret the dream but tell him what the dream was. They say “Tell us the dream and we’ll interpret”. But the king says tell me the dream or you will all be executed”.

“No one can do such a thing!” they say. Daniel asks the steward what the deal is.. Then he tells him, tell the king not to execute the wise men, there’s a God who can tell you the dream. And he tells his friends also in service to pray, and later in a vision of the night God revealed the dream, and Daniel tells the king the dream and its interpretation.

Ch.2 - You saw, O king, a great statue. This image, was mighty and of exceeding brightness, and it stood before you, and its appearance was frightening [dechal - fearful, dreadful, intimidating]. The head of this image was of shining gold, its chest and arms of silver, its middle and thighs of bronze, its legs of iron, its feet partly of iron and partly of clay. As you looked, a stone that had not been formed by human hands struck the image on its feet of iron and clay, and broke them in pieces. Then the iron, the clay, the bronze, the silver, and the gold, were all broken in pieces, and became like chaff blowing in the wind. But the stone that struck the image became a great mountain and filled the whole earth. 36 This was the dream. And now we will tell the king its interpretation.”

37 “You, O king, as a king of kings, to whom the God of heaven has given the kingdom, power, might, and glory, 38 and into whose hand he has given, wherever they dwell, the children of man, the beasts of the field, and the birds of the heavens, making you rule over them all—you are the head of gold [Babylon]. 39 Another kingdom (Media-Persia, the silver) inferior to you shall arise after you, and yet a third kingdom of bronze (Greece) which will rule all the earth. 40 And there shall be a fourth kingdom (Rome) strong as iron, because iron breaks and shatters all things. And like iron that crushes, it shall break and crush all the rest. (The two legs of Rome.) 41 And as you saw the feet and toes (an ignored last days empire) partly of potter's clay and partly of iron (west), it shall become a divided kingdom, but with some of the strength of iron still in it.. 42 And as the (ten) toes (seats, divisions, “‘kings’ of the last hour”-Rev.17:12,16) were of iron and of clay, so the kingdom shall be part strong and part broken (broken by the iron?) 43 As you saw the iron mixed with clay, so the peoples will mix with one another, but will not hold together any more than iron mixes with clay. 44 But in those days the God of heaven will set up a kingdom that will never be destroyed or hurt [chabal - to destroy, hurt]. It shall stand forever ..The dream is certain, and its interpretation sure.”

  >> Chapter 3 <<

The Fiery Furnace

 • King Nebuchadnezzar had a large image made of gold set up on the plain and decrees that all must worship it whenever they hear the call upon any instrument of music to do do so. But Daniel’s three companions are reported for not doing so, furious the King has them thrown into the fiery furnace, but then the king says, “Did we not cast three men bound into the fire? Yet I see four men unbound, walking in the midst of the fire, and they are not hurt, and the appearance of the fourth is like a son of the gods.” ..satraps, prefects, counselors, and magistrates saw that the fire had not had any power over the three. The hair of their heads was not singed, their cloaks were not harmed, and no smell of fire had come upon them. (Rev.7:16) 28 Nebuchadnezzar answered and said, “Blessed be the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego!”

       >> Chapter 4 <<

A Stump In The Field

 • King Nebuchadnezzar has another troubling dream ..so he summoned Daniel, and said, “I saw, and behold, a tree in the midst of the earth, its height was so great it was visible to the end of all the earth. Its beautiful leaves and fruit abundant was food for all. The beasts under its shade and the birds in its branches. But then a watcher, a holy one, came down from heaven, proclaiming loudly, ‘Chop down the tree! Leave the stump amid the grass of the field, bound with a band of iron and bronze for seven times”.

“It is you, O king” Daniel said, “who has grown and become strong. Your greatness has grown and reaches to heaven, and your dominion to the ends of the earth. It shall be for 7 years ..as it was commanded to leave the stump, your kingdom shall be returned to you from the time that you know that Heaven rules”.

At the end of twelve months Nebuchadnezzar was walking on the roof of the royal palace of Babylon, and the king said, “Is not this great Babylon! Which I have built by my mighty power! As a royal residence, for the glory of my majesty?” Immediately the word was fulfilled against Nebuchadnezzar. And he was driven from among men and ate grass like an ox, and his body was wet with the dew of heaven till his hair grew as long as eagles' feathers, and his nails were like birds' claws.

At the end of the days I, Nebuchadnezzar, lifted my eyes to heaven, and my reason returned to me, and I blessed the Most High. Now I, Nebuchadnezzar, praise and extol and honor the King of heaven, for all his works are right and his ways are just, and those who walk in arrogance he is able to humble.

     >> Chapter 5 <<

The Writing On The Wall

 • King Belshazzar made a great feast for a thousand of his lords and while they were drinking wine, 2 he ordered that the vessels of gold and silver be brought in that Nebuchadnezzar his father had taken from the temple in Jerusalem so the king and his lords, wives, and concubines might drink from them. 4 And so they drank wine and praised the gods of gold, silver, bronze, iron, wood, and stone. 5 And right then the finger of a hand appeared and it wrote upon the wall in the light of the lampstand. The king saw the hand as it wrote, 6 and his face paled in alarm, and 7 he called loudly to bring in the enchanters, the Chaldeans, and the astrologers.  “Whoever reads this writing, and shows me its interpretation, shall be clothed with purple and have a chain of gold around his neck and be the third ruler in the kingdom!”

But no one could, then the queen declared, “O king, live forever! Do not be alarmed. 11 There is a man in your kingdom.. 12 ..let Daniel be called, and he will show the interpretation.”

…Daniel said, “Oh king let your gifts be for yourself, and give the rewards to another..18 The Most High God gave Nebuchadnezzar your father kingship, greatness, glory and majesty. 19 And because of the greatness that was given to him, all peoples, nations, and languages trembled and feared before him. Whoever he would, he killed, and whoever he would, he kept alive. He raised up, and he brought low, and 20 his heart was lifted up, his spirit was hardened..21 ..Then his mind was made like that of a beast, he was fed grass like an ox, and his body was wet with dew ..until he knew God Most High rules ..22 And you king Nebuchadnezzar’s son, Belshazzar, though you knew all that, 23 you lifted yourself up against the Lord of heaven. And you and your lords, your wives, and your concubines have used his vessels for praising the gods of silver and gold, bronze, iron, wood, and stone, which do not see or hear or know, but the God in whose power is all breath, you have gone out of your way to dishonor. 24 So from his presence came the hand and this writing, 25 Mene, Mene, Tekel, and Parsin. 26 ..God has numbered the days of your kingdom, you have been weighed in the balances.. 28 your kingdom is divided and given to the Medes and Persians.”

29 Then Belshazzar gave the order, and Daniel was clothed in purple, a chain of gold was put around his neck, and proclamation was made that he should be the third ruler in the kingdom. 30 And that very night Belshazzar the Chaldean king was killed. 31 And Darius the Mede received the kingdom, being about sixty-two years old.

   >> Chapter 6 <<

Daniel In The Lion’s Den

 • Darius set over the kingdom 120 satraps.. 2 and over them three high officials, of whom Daniel was one..  3 ..And Daniel became distinguished above the other high officials and the satraps, because of the excellent spirit in him. (Advancement isn’t aLways through conquest, colonizing and extortion/oppression.) And the king planned to set him over the whole kingdom! 4 But the high officials and satraps looked to find a ground for complaint against Daniel and they could find none but said, “We shall not find anything against this Daniel unless we find it in connection with the law of his God.”

6 So they went by agreement to the king and said, “The king should establish an ordinance and enforce an injunction, that whoever makes petition to any god or man for thirty days, except to you, O king, shall be cast into the den of lions! 8 ..Sign the document, that it cannot be changed, according to the law of the Medes and the Persians..” 10 And although Daniel knew the document had been signed, at his window open toward Jerusalem, he still prayed three times a day to his God, and gave thanks. 11 The officials and satraps went again to the king and said, “O king! Did you not sign an injunction, that anyone who makes petition to any god or man within thirty days except to you, shall be cast into the den of lions?” The king answered, “It stands fast. According to the law of the Medes and Persians, it cannot be broken.” 13 They answered him, “Daniel, one of the exiles from Judah, pays no attention to you, O king, or the injunction you have signed, but makes his petition three times a day!”

14 Then the king, was much distressed and set his mind to pardon Daniel, worrying until the sun went down how to rescue him. 15 But the men came again by agreement again, “Know, O king, that it is a law of the Medes and Persians that no injunction or ordinance that the king establishes can be changed.” 16 So the king commanded, and Daniel was cast into the den of lions. He said to Daniel, “May your God deliver you!” 17 A stone was brought and laid on the mouth of the den, and the king sealed it with his own stamp. 18 And his sleep fled him, and 19 at break of day, he went in haste to the den of lions, “O Daniel, servant of the living God! Has your God, whom you always serve, been able to deliver you?” 21 Then Daniel said, “O king, live forever! 22 My God sent his angel and shut the lions' mouths..” So Daniel was taken up out of the den, and no kind of harm was found on him, because he had trusted in his God. 24 And the king commanded, and those men who had maliciously accused Daniel were brought and cast into the den of lions. (“Your doings will return upon your own heads” Obadiah 1:15.) 25 And King Darius wrote a decree to all the peoples, nations, and languages: “Peace be multiplied to you. 26 I make a decree.. in all my royal dominion people are to tremble and fear before the God of Daniel (such was the ancient view) for he is the living God, enduring forever, his kingdom will never be destroyed, and his dominion never end. 27 He delivers and rescues, works signs and wonders in heaven and upon earth, he who has saved Daniel from the power of the lions.” 28 So Daniel prospered during the reign of Darius and the reign of Cyrus the Persian.

BooK oF Revelation 21 23 - 22 2

 €XpLa!ning ReVeLaTion

          paraphrased study

                  ~ ~

23 - And the city [the New Jerusalem] doesn’t need the sun or the moon, for the glory of God is its radiance, and the lamp of it is the Lamb. 24 And by its light the nations will walk, and the kings of earth will bring their glory into it, 25 and its gates will not be shut by day—there will be no night there. 26 They will bring into it the glory and the honor of the nations. 27 And never shall anything unclean enter into it, nor what is detestable or false, but only those written in the Lamb's book of life.

22:1 - Then the angel showed me the river of the water of life, clear as crystal flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb. 2 And through the middle of the street of the city, and on either side of the river, is the tree of life bearing twelve kinds of fruit, each for its month. And the leaves of the tree are for the healing [therapeia] of the nations.

馃摐馃棡️ The revelation vision is told 3 times: 6:1-2 to 11:19; chap.12 w/ Mt.23:39; and 13:1 to 19:11, the three meeting at the 7th trumpet’s sounding.

Jesus’ brief first advent perfectly fulfilled the ancient Spring Holy Days, more perfectly than is easily seen. So logically his long second advent will fulfill the Autumn Holy Days, their names and pattern:

TRUMPETS (of Rev, return at 7th during the concurrent bowls) - 10days/1000yrs - to ‘DAY’ oF ATONEMENT - 5days/500yrs - to TABERNACLES — a fiery regenesis, “All new.. God will now tabernacle with mankind” Rev.21:1-5.

€XpLa!ning ReVeLaTion - 21 10-22

     WeeKly BooK oF Revelation

               paraphrased study

10 - And he (an angel) carried me (John) in the Spirit to a great and high mountain, and showed me the Holy City, Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God. 11 It shone with the glory of God, and its radiance was like a stone most precious, like jasper, clear as crystal. 12 It had a great, high wall of twelve gates, with twelve angels at the gates. And on them were written the names of the twelve tribes of Israel. (All believers are “grafted into Israel” Ro.11:17-26.) 13 There were three gates facing east, three facing north, three south and three west. 14 The wall of the city had twelve foundations, and on them were the names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb. 15 The angel who talked with me had a measuring rod of gold with which to measure the city, the gates and the walls. (Side Note - a rod is a measuring stick, the “iron rod” Jesus will rule the nations with is Truth, which is unbreakable, an unbreakable measure, that breaks all that is not true.) 16 The city was square, long as it was wide. He measured the city with the rod and found it to be 12,000 stadia in length, and as wide and high as it is long. [Stadia - a greek measurement, stadium length, the length of a race course,  furlong which is an 8th of a mile - 12,000 stadia, between 1,300 to 1,400 miles?) 17 The angel measured the wall using human and angel measurement, and it was 144 cubits thick. 18 The wall was of jasper, the city of pure gold, pure as glass. 19 The foundations of the city walls were adorned with every kind of precious stone. The city had twelve foundations, each made of a precious stone, the first jasper, the second sapphire, the third agate, the fourth emerald, 20 the fifth onyx, the sixth ruby, the seventh chrysolite, the eighth beryl, the ninth topaz, the tenth turquoise, the eleventh jacinth, and the twelfth amethyst. 21 The twelve gates were of pearl, each gate made of a single pearl. The great street of the city was of gold, as pure and clear as glass. 22 I didn’t see in the city, a temple, because the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are its temple.

        WeeKly BooK oF Revelation

                paraphrased study

[A loud voice from the throne continues] - 4 - He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no longer, nor mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former has passed away.” 5 And he who was seated on the throne said, “Behold, I am making all new.” [All - pas - every, all]. And he said, “Write, for these words are trustworthy and true.” 6 And he said to me, “It is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. To the one thirsting, I will give from the spring [p茅g茅 - fountain, spring, well, issue, flow] of the water of life freely. 7 The one who overcomes will inherit all and I will be his God and he will be my son [hyi贸s - descendant, “son” equally refers to female believers—Gal 3:28]. (Do you think God cursed wo-man? Or man? He was prophesying.) 8 But (John) as for the cowardly, the faithless, the having become abominable, and murderers, and the sexually immoral, and sorcerers, idolaters, and the liars, their portion [meros - a part, share, portion, a part due or assigned to one, to appoint one his lot, lot, destiny assigned to one] (Imo, part to play, role) is in the lake [limn茅 - a lake, from limen - through the idea of nearness of shore, a pond large or small] burning [kai贸 - to kindle, burn, set fire to, light, in figurative discourse a light, torch showing the way] with fire and sulfur [theion - neuter of theios - divine, in its original sense of flashing, brimstone, sulphur] which is the second death.”

9 Then came to me one of the seven angels having the seven bowls full of the seven last plagues [pl茅g茅 - a blow, stripe, wound; an affliction, plague] and he said to me, “Come, I will show you the Bride, the wife of the Lamb.”
