Why did they build Babel Tower..?
Uh oh, I’ve been watching too many Stargate episodes..
But it got me thinking.. Why did they build the tower.. to reach to the stars..? Who told them the moving stars - they didn’t know they were planets - were gods? There was Nimrod, mighty hunter.. Priesthoods were built up.. And king-priests (alliance”s?).. And kings considered to be gods..
We know the first man “from whom all nations came”, Adam, and his wife Eve, knew God (Yahweh), their Father.
“They heard the voice of the LORD God walking in the garden in the cool of the day..” Genesis 3:8 …And the Lord God called to the man, “Where are you?”
And of course they would have passed on this knowledge of God the LORD to their children. We know Abel knew Yahweh, and there were lots of other people around too, so a fair amount of time must have passed. [Back when the genetic code was wide, with no separating of the traits (strings?).. It was not dangerous to marry a sibling in those earliest days.]
Cain too, knew Yahweh, for God asked him “why are you angry?” And they had their discussion after the bad scene that occurred. (Man! Killed his brother..) Here’s a note too, he didn’t seem to be terrified of Yahweh.. But was afraid of the other people..
So God put a mark on his forehead (a prominent brow? I’ve always wondered. Or actually, isn’t it obvious?)
…”I shall be a fugitive and a vagabond on the earth, and it will happen that anyone who finds me will kill me.”
And the Lord said to him, “Therefore, whoever kills Cain, vengeance shall be taken on him sevenfold.” And the Lord set a mark on Cain, lest anyone finding him should kill him. (Gen 4:14,15)
And Cain went away Eastward.. He had offered grain to Yahweh. And was angry when it wasn’t accepted. (What didn’t happen concerning his offering? Idk). Was this part of that same spirit which wants all the blessings but not the bent knee..? (Not realizing His blueprint is the one which fulfills!) And is this the root spirit of Babel Tower? “We will reach the stars..”
Now with the theory of evolution, have we declared ourselves to be god..? Reaching the stars without bending the knee.. (Not acknowledging we are so puny..)
Is Babylon the Great just a bigger Babel Tower?
In Genesis chapter three, after the first parents ate from the forbidden tree.. (They had every tree in the garden to eat from.. But just hAd to have some from the one!) Well, right away Yahweh promised a rescue.. Having to do with “her offspring”.. A son. Look at how many ‘son of a god’ myths rose up all over the globe. One of the first worshiped was a “mother god”. I’ve wondered if these were not hazy memories of Eve, whom Adam called “the mother of all”. The faint memories taking on other personalities.. And still others later.. Like idols to be filled..
In the Book of Revelation, ten kings (toes, divisions?) will rule one hour with the (big, red) beast.. They will devour the harlot (greek word, “pornos” and “to sell”.)
