                      ~  6:1-4 ~

1 - I (John) was watching as the Lamb (who seemed to have been slain) opened one of the seven seals on the scroll (which is the vision). Then I heard one of the four living creatures say with a voice like thunder, “Come!” 2 And behold, a white horse! And it came forth conquering and to conquer. Its rider had a bow, and a crown was given to him.  (I think Jesus went from ascension to Revelation chapter five. And opening the seal, out rode forth into the new age - into the years of our Lord A.D. - the gospel, for a time openly victorious over powers and principalities ..and in response) 3 When he opened the second seal, I heard the second living creature say, “Come!” 4 And out came another horse, bright red. Its rider was permitted to take peace from the earth (war, Ps.2) so that people should slay one another, and it was given a great sword. (The seals are described, at the beginning of the vision, as their full and entire effects, first to last. The horsemen’s rides continue throughout the age. …War, was given a great [megas - large, great, (and) in the widest sense; word commentary included - “mass and weight, compass and extent”] sword. (I think the great sword is seal 6.)

7 - And the lamb (that looked to have been slain, went from ascension to this chapter?) went and took the scroll from the right hand of the one who was seated on the throne. 8 And when he had taken the scroll, the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders fell down before [enópios - before, in sight of] him. Each one was holding a harp, and a golden bowl full of incense, which are the prayers of the saints. 9 And they sang a new song, saying, 10 “Worthy are you to take the scroll and to open its seals, for you were slain, and by your blood you ransomed (from death) people for God from every tribe and language, people and nation, and you have made them a kingdom and priests to our God, and they shall reign upon earth.”

     11 Then I looked, and I heard around the throne and the living creatures and the elders, the voice of many angels, as myriads of myriads and thousands of thousands of voices, 12 saying with a loudly, “Worthy is the Lamb who was slain! To receive power and wealth, wisdom and glory, honor and strength, and blessing!” 13 And I heard every creature in heaven and upon earth and below earth and upon the sea, and in the sea, all saying, “To he who sits on the throne and to the Lamb, blessing! And honor and glory and might forever and ever!”

     14 And the four living creatures were saying, “amen” and the elders fell down and worshiped the one who lives to the ages of the ages.

1 - Then I (John) saw in the right hand of he who was seated on the throne a scroll which was written on both sides, and sealed with seven seals. 2 And I saw a mighty angel asking in a loud voice, “Who is worthy to open the scroll and break open its seals?” 3 And there was no one in heaven or upon earth or even under the earth who was able to open the scroll or to look into it, 4 and I began to openly weep because no one was found worthy to open the scroll or to look into it. 5 But one of the elders said to me, “Weep no more, look, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has conquered. So HE can open the scroll and break open its seven seals.”

     6 And then between the throne and the four living creatures and among the elders I saw a Lamb standing, looking as if it had been slain. It had seven horns and seven eyes which are the seven spirits of God sent out into all the earth.

     (Jesus first advent ministry began and ended with a “John” which name means - Yhvh is merciful - Yhvh is gracious - and or - God’s gift. God gives?)

     a BaZinGa !⚡️Act to This Vision?

8 - And the four living creatures, each of them having six wings, are full of eyes, all around and within. And day and night they never cease saying “Holy, holy, holy, is the Lord God Almighty, who was and is and is to come!” 9 And whenever the living creatures give glory and honor and thanks to he who is seated on the throne, 10 the twenty-four elders fall down before him and worship he who lives forever and ever. They cast their crowns before the throne, saying, 11 “Worthy are you, our LORD and God, to receive glory, honor and power, for you created all things. And by your will they exist and are created.” (In this production, this vision about to be portrayed, at each new progression, there is the reminder that [1] all is well, God is sovereign, and [2] no matter how grievous upon Earth, God is still to be praised, for this unfortunate, “shadow of death” - fading away life as we presently know it - this unavoidable yet all important contrast, must run its full course. God had two options for creation? One option being a total ant farm? But instead he opted for ToTaL ‘herd’ immunity? He is - of course - 100% unfettered Genius.) (And as Life, itself, he suffers, lives through, and experiences all things which ever occur. And he created genuinely able to think and reason beings anyway! ..Both “angelos” and “antropos” and the rebel anthropos happen to serve as an accelerant. “..Your father in heaven is perfect” Mt.5:48 — The end result of all this can only be the very best one possible. — Before knowing, acknowledging this.. we are not casting our crown before him..? He is grace.. His love and - faithfulness - is steadfast, immoveable. Beginning this weekly reading, I have not really understood this section, so I prayed for his Quiet voice to tell me what it means, for he is ever speaking to us all.)

1 - After this, and look! A door standing open in heaven! And the first voice, which I (disciple/apostle John) had heard speaking to me like a trumpet, said, “Come up here, and I will show you what must take place after this.” 2 And at once I was in the Spirit, and behold, a throne standing in heaven, and upon the throne one was sitting. 3 And he who sat there had the appearance of jasper [a “clear stone”] and carnelian [a “fiery red stone”] and around the throne was a rainbow that had the appearance of an emerald. 4 Around the throne were twenty-four thrones, and seated on the thrones were twenty-four elders (white and gray haired?) clothed in white garments, with golden crowns on their heads. 5 From the throne came flashes of lightning, rumblings and peals of thunder (note: count one of such descriptions) and before the throne were burning seven torches of fire, which are the seven spirits of God, 6 and before the throne there was as it were a sea of glass, like crystal. And around the throne were four living creatures, full of eyes in front and behind. 7 The first living creature was like a lion, the second living creature like an ox, the third had the face of a man, and the fourth living creature was like an eagle in flight. (Character of God? - clear as crystal - that man is being formed into? By the slow motion fiery gehenna that’s life as we presently know it.. the crucible, laver and sieve. Into the ‘new’/totally born again nature of inner strength like a lion, able to work (and peacefully graze:) like an ox, being always humane, with high perception/understanding? Ever lofty and flying high? ..Emerald green, real..? Actually quite down to earth..?)
