Transhumanism

The public and even much of the intellectual community remain ignorant or in denial of the most 4 Human Purpose and Transhuman Potential significant potential changes ahead. This is starting to change in a very modest way, with technology pioneers and futurists such as Ray Kurzweil and the Singularity Institute making bold post-anthropic declarations in mainstream media. But despite the general lack of public awareness, it is becoming increasingly clear that technologies such as cloning, stem cell research, and genetic engineering are increasing the ability to alter not just nature but human nature.
