1 - Then I (John) looked - and behold - on Mount Zion stood the Lamb. And with him 144,000 {men of Israel?} who had his name and his Father's name written on their foreheads. {It’s time - Mt.23:39, Ro.11:15, Rev.7:9,4.} {But Mt.Zion is the spiritual/heavenly, and Mt. of Olives is the literal/earthly.}
2 And I heard a voice from heaven like the sound of rushing waters and of loud thunder. And like the sound of harpists playing on their harps. 3 And they were singing a new song before the throne and before the four living creatures and before the elders. No one could learn that song except the 144,000 having been redeemed from the earth. {Or? Unless, or until? the 144,000 have been redeemed..} 4 They are those who have not defiled themselves with women for they are virgins. {Truth virgins.} Who follow the Lamb wherever he goes, having been redeemed out from men as firstfruits for God and the Lamb, 5 and in their mouth no lie was found, for they are blameless.
6 Then I saw another angel flying directly overhead. He had glad tidings to proclaim to those who dwell upon earth, to eveRy nation, tribe, language and people, 7 saying with a loud voice, “Fear/revere” {fear or revere whatever one’s case may be.. think cruel despots and heartless bullies, etc. “Reverence God and give him glory! For the hour of his judgment {of the world, this wrong way that can never work} has come! Worship he, who made heaven and earth, the sea and the fresh springs of water!”

13 It {a two horned office which originally rose up out of the earth} performs great signs, even making fire come down from heaven/sky, to earth in the sight of, and presence of mankind. {This fiery event pinpoints/ed an office, not yet an individual.}
14 - And by the signs [s茅meion - a sign, miracle, indication, mark, token {of the future?}] this (smaller) beast (two horned) is allowed to work in sight of the {larger, many headed geopolitical} beast {entity/institution that rose from the sea (of humanity).. and like $ity of Babble is on all seven hills/continents}.
And by the sign deceives those who dwell upon earth. Telling them to make an image to the beast that had been wounded by the sword {had expired} and yet {now, after 13:13} lived again.
15 And {in the vision} it was allowed to give breath to the image of the beast, so that the image of the beast might speak and cause those who would not worship the image of the beast to be slain. 16 Also it causes all, small and great, rich and poor, both free and slave, to be marked on the right hand or the forehead, 17 so no one may buy or sell unless they have the mark, that is, the name of the beast or the number of its name. {Logically, this is in reverse order. A number required to buy or sell, then escalates to will be slain, Rev.2:10?} 18 This calls for wisdom: let the one who has understanding calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of man (the word “a” was inserted at translation) and the number is 666. {..? Man is carbon based, and carbon has six protons, six neutrons, and six electrons. Strongly? suggesting apocalypse is done by man. For we have ‘his’ number - an idiom - “I’ve got your number” means understanding someone so well you can predict their actions, or know someone’s true nature and intentions.}

9 - If anyone has an ear, let them hear. 10 If anyone into (or taking?) captivity, to captivity they go. if anyone with the sword slays (this is usually translated as, iS slain [apoktein贸 or apoktenn贸 - to kill, slay] with the sword, must they {theirself} be slain. Here is a call for - the endurance and faith - of the saints/believers. {See Hebrews 11, not for the timid however.}
11 Then I (John) saw - another (2nd) - beast rising out of the earth. {This is not the huge, many headed (geopolitical, on seven hills/continents, aka global, in league with $ity of Babble) beast, of verse 1 which rose up out of the sea. (Of humanity.) These two beasts become very prominent in late days.}
12 It {the second littler beast} will exercise all the authority of the first beast - in its presence {the little beast, a modern, larger scope fulfillment of the “little horn” of Daniel’s prophecy which came out of a cluster of horns. And uprooted three of the other horns as it grew, Dn.7:8 and 8:9, Rev.12:14?} This one has two horns like a lamb but it will “speak like a dragon” and will unlawfully(?) step into the prime horn/seat of the huge many headed geopolitical beast/entity/institution?}

{Chapter 13 begins the third and last version of the vision. But from a modern geopolitical perspective. The three versions rejoin at the sounding of the seventh trumpet.
When we left off last week (or so) the dragon was raging. And he was turning his attention more fully upon “the faith’s other children who have the commandments of God and” - by then - “the testimony of Jesus” - Mt.23:39, Rev.7:9. (Which testimony was always their’s ..and then also the nations’.)
So, end of Revelation chapter 12, being also the end of one of three tellings of the vision, surely(?) delivers us to Revelation 16’s gathering to Armageddon battle (Mt.13:30). The chapter concluding with — “..And the dragon stood on the sand of the sea shore”.. HOW he turns his rage upon Israel and takes the world to Armageddon, is chapter 13.
13:1 - And I (John) saw a {many headed geopolitical} beast {entity, institution} rising up out of the sea [of humanity]. It had ten horns and seven different heads. It had ten crowns upon the ten horns. And upon the heads of it, were inscribed names of blasphemy [blasph茅mia - slander]. {The spiritual and psychological energy, roar of the dragon, is slander, accusation, rage, hatred which is, of course, madness..} 2 And the beast that I saw was like a leopard {quick?}. But it had feet like a bear's {totalitarian?}. And its mouth was like a lion's mouth {a roman/graeco institution?} {All predator beasts.} But it was the dragon that gave to it, his power, throne and great authority. {Political, societal, ‘global’ king like rule.}
3 One of the heads of the beast seemed to have had a fatal wound {expired} but the fatal wound was healed {in a last manifestation, after the 13:13 event, and it comes about that} the whole world admires and follows after the beast. 4 And (so) they revered the dragon, who had given the authority to the beast, and they revered the beast, saying, “Who is like the beast? And who can make war against it?” [Poleme贸 - wage war, fight, to engage in battle, quarrel; proskune贸 - worship, bow down; exousia - authority, power, right, jurisdiction.]
5 And was given to the beast, a mouth uttering haughty, slanderous and blasphemous words, and it was allowed to exercise {all} authority for forty-two months. {This is the second 42 months/3.5 years of the lauded peace [covenant, treaty, league] that alas, will only last seven years, and will be broken in the middle against Israel - Rev.12:1;, Dan.12:11 with Lk.19:41,44.}
6 It {the many headed geopolitical beast which rose out of the sea of humanity} opened its mouth to utter slanders against God, blaspheming his name and his tabernacle, and those tabernacling in heaven. [Angels… cherubim; Father and Son (proto) only straight out from God one, so close both pour out God’s Spirit/Presence.] 7 Also it was allowed to make war against the saints [believers/followers] and to conquer them. And authority was given to it over every tribe, people, language and nation. 8 And all who dwell upon earth will revere it, everyone whose name has not {yet} been written in the book of life of the lamb who was slain from the founding [katabol茅 - laying down] of the world [kosmos - order, the world, a properly ordered system, universe, creation].

[After the woman, the faith, fled (Jerusalem in 70CE) and time had passed.. and after “war in heaven”] 13 - the dragon, when he saw that he was now limited to Earth, pursued {persecuted, inquisitioned} the woman/the faith, which had given birth to the manchild (Son of man/Christ). 14 But the woman/the faith {now Christianity} was given the two wings of an eagle, that she might fly (sail) to the wilderness to a place of her to be nourished and to grow [in a widest sense] for a time, times and half (a division of) time, safe from the face [pros贸pon - presence, face, advantage] of the serpent [thus dragon, ancient serpent, called the devil and Satan ..deceiver of the whole world” vs.9].
15 Then (after the 1, plus 2 and ½ divisions of time) the serpent spewed water like a river out of his mouth after the woman, the faith. In order to wash her away with a flood, from off the face of the Earth.
16 But (in the vision John was seeing) the earth helped the woman. It opens its mouth and swallows the flood, the dragon had poured from his mouth after her. {A spiritual flood, a strong delusion? One declaring man to be most high and “seated in the temple as god”/highest power. ..And widespread drought just before Armageddon/next verse?}
17 And the dragon was furious with the woman, the faith, and went off to make war upon the rest of her {the faith’s} offspring, on those who keep the commandments of God. And {by then, Mt.23:39} hold to the testimony of Jesus. {“Jerusalem, Jerusalem ..you shall not SEE me again, until you say “Blessed is He who comes in the name if the LORD!” Mt.23:39.}

Review: Chapter twelve is the second telling of the revelation vision. It is between the other two tellings - 6:1-2 to 11:19, but a trick with the seals keeps the vision veiled. They, the elements of the vision {and age} are described at the very beginning of the vision, as a sort of swirl of their full and entire effects, first to very last. Especially pronounced in the 6th seal and the following 7:1,3 (9,4) where we presently still are.

{After the manchild(/Son of man) was taken up to God’s throne where he will rule with the unbreakable measuring rod of Truth, and the faith had fled, migrated} 7 - War arose in heaven, Michael and his angels warred against the dragon, and the dragon and his angels warred against Michael and his angels. 8 But the dragon hadn’t the strength, and no longer was a place for them found in heaven. 9 And the great dragon was thrown down, that ancient serpent (oR “cherubim” from Ezek.28:12- “Son of man, raise a lamentation over the king of Tyre {god of this world}.. you were in Eden, the garden of God.. an anointed covering cherub [kerub - an order of angelic beings, cherub, cheribim].
I appointed you on the holy mountain.. You were blameless in your ways from the day you were created, till unrighteousness [evel or avel or avlah or olah - unrighteousness, injustice] was found in you..”
(Like David is used as a representation of Christ in prophecy, so too are despotic kings used as a representation of Satan the adversary.)
9 And the great dragon was thrown out, that ancient serpent, who is called the devil and Satan, the deceiver of the whole world—he was thrown to the earth, and his angels were thrown with him. 10 And I heard a loud voice in heaven, saying, “Now the salvation and the power and the kingdom of our God and the authority of his Christ have come {to the heavens}! For “the accuser” of our brethren has been thrown out {of heaven, not yet Earth} who accused them day and night {right} before our God.
11 And the brethren overcome him because of the blood of the lamb, and because of [dia - by, because of, for the sake of, by reason of, through] the word of their testimony, and (word for word) (they) not loved the life of them unto death”. {I think may also read? — didn’t love their life that leads to death? Perhaps, in this verse anyway, in Rev.20 is different?馃し馃徏♀️} 12 “Therefore, rejoice, O heavens and you who dwell therein! But woe to you, O earth and sea, for the devil has come to you in great wrath, because he knows his time is short.” {And total world domination is still the goal. Which has nothing to do with ‘afterlife’ or that is, between life, i.e. between death and resurrection, and, or later, as it’s resurrection into 2nd advent to serve called reigning, or, towards end of 2nd advent into GWT judgment/“korrection” ‘Day’}.
