REVELATION - 15 1-8

🗝️’s to riddles, N.T. in a yr study, verses paraphrased Logic [ ] references { } thots

BOOK OF REVELATION

1 - Then I (John) saw another sign in heaven, great and awe inspiring, seven angels with seven plagues [plégé - blow, stripe, wound, affliction, plague] which are the last (effects, pinpointing cause) for with them the wrath [thymós - expressed passion, fierce anger, indignation] of God is finished. {The culmination of cause and effect.. To be angry and indignant against evils carried out is only righteous. Worldly trying to influence is a trying to enchant. God doesn’t like dog eat dog?}

    2 And I saw what appeared to be a sea of glass as mingled with fire {life as we presently know it..? imperfect, still beautiful, but also an abyss of potential} and also those who had conquered the beast and its image and the number of its name, standing beside the sea of glass with harps of God in their hands. 3 And they sang the song of Moses, servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying, “Great and wonderful are your works [érgon - from ergō - to work, accomplish] O LORD God the Almighty! Just and true are your ways, O King of the nations! 4 Who will not fear/revere, O LORD, and glorify your name? For you alone are holy. All nations will come and worship you, for your righteous acts have been revealed.” [Ro.3:4 “..as it has been written about God, ‘That You (God) may be justified in YOUR words, and will prevail in Your being judged’."]

     5 After this I looked, and the sanctuary of the tabernacle/tent of witness/testimony in the heavens was opened 6 And out of the sanctuary came the seven angels with the seven (final) plagues, clothed in pure, bright linen, with golden sashes around their chests. 7 And one of the four living creatures gave to the seven angels seven golden bowls full of the wrath {final results of “seven thunders”?} of God who lives forever and ever, 8 and the sanctuary was filled with smoke from the glory of God and from his power, and no one could enter the sanctuary until the seven plagues of the seven angels were completed [teleó - to bring to an end, complete, fulfill; from télos - consummation, completion, this root (tel-) means "reaching the end (aim)." It is well-illustrated with the old pirate's telescope, unfolding (extending out) one stage at a time to function at full-strength/ultimately full scope] - }Examples, 70 CE, smaller scope, history’s consummation, full scope. Jesus’ first so brief advent, smaller scope, and long, second advent, full scope}.

REVELATION - 14 14-20

🗝️’s to riddles, N.T. in a yr study, verses paraphrased Logic [ ] references { } thots

       BOOK OF REVELATION

{A wheat harvest, and later a grape harvest.} 14 - Then I (John) looked, and I saw a radiant cloud, and sitting upon the cloud was one like the Son of man. He had a crown of gold on his head, and a great sickle in his hand. 15 And another angel came out of the temple, calling with a loud voice to him who sat on the cloud, “Put in your sickle! And reap! For the hour has come. The harvest is ripe!”

     16 So he who sat on the cloud swung his sickle across the earth, and it was reaped.

     17 Then another angel came out of the temple in heaven. And he too had a great sickle. 18 I saw another angel coming away from the altar, an angel who has authority over fire. [Same angel as Rev.7:3-5?] And he cried out with a loud voice to the one who had the sickle, telling him “Put in your sickle! And gather the clusters from the vine of the earth, for its grapes are ripe.” 19 So the angel swung his sickle across the earth and gathered the grape harvest of earth and threw it into the great winepress of the wrath of God. {Amageddon. Surely? Fiery, Is.24:20, the last of “seven thunders”?) 20 And the winepress was trodden outside the city, and blood” (oil?) flowed from the press, as high as a horse's bridle, for 1,600 stadia. {Compared to the wheat and tares parable, here, the ‘wheat’ is mentioned first, whereas in the parable, the tares are gathered first. It’s an easy explanation, there is the gathering TO Armageddon, then the wheat gathered, barely previous, or perhaps even simultaneous with the fiery culmination of the battle, which coincidentally is where the first of three mentions of a lake of fire is.}

     {Note also a grape harvest that is “after the thousand years” and after GWT judgment ‘day’. This is revealed in 1Cor.15:22-24,28 wiTh Mt.13:33, key word 3, three harvests - barley, wheat and grape - The Verses:

     Matthew 13:33 - “The kingdom is like a woman working leaven into three batches of flour, until all (of it) is leavened.” With - key word 3 - 1 Corinthians 15:22-28 - “As in Adam all die, so also in Christ shall all be made alive. 23 BUT each in their own order: (1)Christ the firstfruits (barley) then (2)at his coming those who belong to Christ (the wheat). 24 Then comes the end (3)when he delivers the kingdom to God the Father after destroying - every rule, and every authority, and eveRy power. 25 For Christ must reign until he has put aLL enemies under him.” [“Whoever is friends with the world is at enmity/war with God” James 4:4.]

     26 “The last enemy to be abolished [katargeó - rendered inoperative] is death. 27 For “God has put all [pas - every, all, the whole] under him.” But when it says, “all are put under him,” it’s plain that he is excepted who put all under him.

     28 And then when all (of the #3 harvest, the overflowing grape harvest, so “all”) are (truly, manifestly and literally/spiritually) under him (subdued/reconciled during GWT judgment/discernment/review/closure for all ‘Day’ - Jn.12:32 - then the Son will openly submit himself to he who arranged all as under him [hypotássō - from hypó - under, and tássō - arranged] that God may be all in all.” Each one of these seven all’s are from the Greek word “pas” which means all. Five were translated into “all things” but not the last two - and “so God will be all in all” …after the second vivification and fiery “palin/again-genesis” of Rev.21:5 - “Behold! I make all new!” (Greek word “pas” - all, every, the whole).}

REVELATION - 14 8-13

BOOK OF REVELATION

8 - Then I (John) saw a second angel following the first across the sky, crying, “Fallen, fallen is Babylon the great! She who has given all nations to drink the wine of her passionate immorality and corruption.” {Imo, $ity of Babble on all seven hills/continents.}

     9 And another angel, a third, followed, saying with a loud voice, “If anyone worships the beast {ultimately the world?} and its image {“given the ability — to speak, nonstop?} and receives a mark on their forehead or hand, 10 they also will drink the cup of the wine of God's wrath {consequences, Obadiah 1:15, Ps.90:3,5-7} poured undiluted. {Things are being allowed to run their fuLL course. Otherwise why bother?} And they will be tormented with fire and sulfur {EARTHLY event} before the holy angels and the Lamb. {“All the world is a stage” Shakespeare.} 11 And the smoke of their torment goes up forever and ever. {There’s a “palin/again-genesis”, so that must be the smoke of the torment/destruction “rising age to age” in the memories of all.}

     And they have no rest, day or night, those worshipping the beast {many headed geopolitical} and its image. And who receive the mark [charagma - a stamp, impress, originally an impress on a coin or a seal, later an identification marker, owner's unique brand-mark] of its name.”

    12 Here is a call for the endurance of his people, all those who keep the instructions of God and their faith in Jesus. {Dn.12:11-12 w/ Lk.19:41,44 and 1Cor.3:16, escalation being Rev.2:10?} 13 And I heard a voice from heaven saying, “Write this: Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on.” “Blessed indeed,” says the Spirit, “that they may rest from their labors, for their deeds follow them!” {Straightaway.} {“Seven thunders” as Is.24:20?}
