God’s Riddles - Hiding Things In Plain Sight

~ πŸƒ ~ πŸƒ ~ πŸƒ ~ πŸƒ ~ πŸƒ ~ πŸƒ ~ πŸƒ ~

 • The Revelation vision is told  three times. Then rejoins at trumpet 7 [6:1-2 to 11:19; 12, but Mt.23:39 w/ vs.17; and 13:1 to 19:11].

 • The seal descriptions at the beginning of the vision, as their full effects, first to last, veils much.

 • Vs.13:13 pinpointed an office.

AMOS

 πŸŒ΄πŸ‘

     Verse 1:1 sent me running to a list of commentaries, lol. So I read a few.. And they, plus I’ve read Amos before, have given me the impression Amos, as a prophet, was saying the world, of his day, and I figure every day, is very messed up, and sure to be calamitous, but God’s message, and paradise, will reach all the ends of Earth and then rule {dwell and hold sway} forever.

From the Prophets - Amos - not long

Israel microcosm, world, macro.

   Quick Summary — “The days are coming,” declares the LORD, “when the reaper will be overtaken by the plowman and the planter by the one treading grapes. New wine will drip from the mountains and flow from all the hills!”

     “You trample on the heads of the poor.. sold the innocent for silver.. and deny justice to the oppressed!  .. Surely the Sovereign LORD does nothing without revealing his plan to his servants .. You say, ‘Do not prophesy.. and stop preaching against’.. “So I will make the sun go down at noon and darken the earth in broad daylight.” {His wrath as consequences!

     Isaiah 24:20 - the earth will shake to and fro. Rev.10:4 - when the seven thunders make their voices heard (thermonuclear lightning and thunder? The higher and faster moisture rises the bigger and greater the hail. One ‘thunder’ is in the past.}

     1:1 The words of Amos, a shepherd —the vision he saw concerning Israel two years before the earthquake..

     and Damascus, Gaza, Tyre, Edom, Ammon, Moab …and Judah..

   ..sold the innocent for silver .. you trample on the heads of the poor as on the dust of the ground and deny justice to the oppressed.. 2:14 The swift won’t escape, the strong won’t muster their forces, and the warrior won’t save his life. 15 The archer won’t stand his ground, the fleet-footed soldier won’t get away, and the horseman won’t save his life. 16 Even the bravest warriors will flee.. 3:6 when a trumpet sounds.. 7 Surely the Sovereign Lord does nothing without revealing his plan to his servants the prophets. ..11 An enemy will enter your land, sap your strength and plunder your palaces ..15 the great houses will be destroyed..

    4:1 .. who oppress the poor and crush the needy.. 6 lack of bread in every city.. 11 yet you have not returned to me, declares the Lord. 12 ..prepare to meet your God. 13 He who formed the mountains, who created the wind, and who reveals his thoughts to mankind, who turns dawn to darkness, and treads upon the heights of the earth — the Lord God Almighty is his name.

5:9  With a blinding flash he destroys the stronghold, and brings the fortified city to ruin..

11 You levy a straw tax on the poor and impose a tax on their grain. Therefore, though you have built stone mansions, you won’t be living in them; though you’ve planted lush vineyards, you won’t be drinking their wine. 12 ..There are those who oppress the innocent, take bribes, and deprive the poor of justice in the courts. 13  Therefore the prudent forbear in such times, for the times are evil. 15 Hate evil, love good; maintain justice in the courts. Perhaps the LORD God Almighty will have mercy..

    6:11 ..he will smash the great house into pieces and the small house into bits. 7:14 Amos answered Amaziah, “I was not a prophet nor the son of a prophet, but was a shepherd, and a tender of sycamore trees. 15 But the Lord took me from tending the flock and said, ‘Go, prophesy to my people Israel.’ 16 But you say, ‘Do not prophesy.. and stop preaching against the descendants of Isaac.’

17 Therefore this is what the Lord says, ‘Israel will surely go into exile, away from their native land’..”

     8:1 What the Sovereign LORD showed me was a basket of ripe fruit. 2 “What do you see, Amos?” he said. “A basket of ripe fruit,” I answered. 6 ..buying the poor for silver, the needy for a pair of shoes and sell the chaff of the wheat.. 8 Will not the land thus tremble, and those who live in it mourn? .. 9 “In that day,” declares the Sovereign LORD, “I will make it dark at noon, darkening the earth in broad daylight. 11 “The days are coming,” declares the Sovereign LORD, “when I will send a famine through the land — not a famine of food or a thirst for water, but a famine of hearing the words of the LORD. 12 People will stagger..

     9:11 “In that day I will raise up David’s tabernacle. I will repair its broken walls and ruins — and will rebuild it to be as it used to be.. 13 “The days are coming,” declares the LORD, “when the reaper will be overtaken by the plow, and the planter, by the one treading grapes. New wine will drip from the mountains and flow from all the hills, 14 and I will bring my people Israel back from exile. {Ultimately includes us all? When the scales fall from our eyes and we believe, we are “grafted into Israel”. Though this does noT take away from the nation and ethnicity of the Abrahamic, Hebrew nation being gathered back to the land, and back to God. Israel is the prominent example? The micro version of humanity and our being strayed/imperfect/entropic. Which is preferable to ant farm, the only other option? God will accomplish total ‘herd’ immunity. Jerusalem will be (is) God’s capitol.} They will rebuild ruined cities and dwell there. They will plant vineyards and drink the wine. They will create gardens and eat the fruit of them. 15 I will plant Israel in her own land, never again to be uprooted from the land I have given to them..” {And humanity to its created place, but this important contrast is unavoidable, so he designed and engineered it so it will be one and done! Finished, case solidly proven age to age?}

Revelation 9 13-21

 BooK of Revelation

          a paraphrased study

(Review: out of the smoke of {widespread?} warfare came loud locust like tormenting mankind for five months. Marshall Law enforced?)

13 - When the sixth angel blew his trumpet, I (John) heard a voice coming from the four horns of the golden altar before God {four directions?} 14 and it said to the sixth angel who had the trumpet, “Release the four angels that are bound at the great river Euphrates.” 15 So the four angels, prepared for the hour, day, month, and year, were released that they may kill a third of mankind. 16 The number of mounted troops - twice ten thousand times ten thousand is the number I heard. {This is at the 6th trumpet blast, so late. The revelation vision is told three times. Like a production with sort of(?) “meanwhiles” or, seeing it from different aspects — 6:1-2 to 11:19; ch.12, verse 17 w/ Mt.23:39; and 13:1 to 19:11.. the three rejoining at the 7th trumpet’s sounding and armageddon w/ harpazo, Mt.13:30! Imo.}

     17 And this is the appearance of the horses in the vision, and those sitting atop them having fiery breastplates {shiny, reflective?} and hyacinth (dark blue or deep purple) and brimstone/sulfur {blue, yellow, and fiery red accompanies?}. And their heads were like lion heads (big) and fire, smoke, and sulfur came out of their mouths. 18 By these three plagues a third of mankind was killed, by the fire (red), smoke (deep blue?) and brimstone (yellow) coming out of their mouths. (Rev.8:13 had said, “Woe! Woe! Woe [ouai - alas! woe!] to the inhabitants of the earth, because of the trumpet blasts (that were) about to be sounded by the other three angels!” Trumpets five, six, and seven.] 19 For the power of the horses [6th trumpet] is in their mouths and in their tails, for their tails are like serpents with heads, and by means of them they wound. {Make war?}

     20 The rest of mankind, who weren’t killed by these plagues, didn’t repent of the works of their hands nor of worshiping demons and idols of gold, silver, bronze, stone and wood, which cannot see, hear, or walk. 21 Nor did they repent of their murders, their sorceries [pharmakos - poisoning, sorceries, magic {modern(?) “miracles to mislead”?} and enchantments, mesmerising] nor did they repent of their sexual immoralities and thefts. [Still not persuaded that man and universe needs God. As opposed to Jn.3:33 - “The one who has accepted his testimony has acknowledged that God is truthful, genuine, {faithful} [alΓ©thΓ©s - true, truthful, real, genuine.”]
